# Noisy version

I updated the mofaha rss feed over the weekend if anyone's interested :)

# thass pretty cool man.
A bit grainy tho, not the background but the edges of the girl, kinda like bad aliasing.

# Yeah
it was drawn fairly smooth, I jaggied edges on purpose using levels (mainly). I wanted a different look on this, kind of sharp and maybe over-copied or something, and I guess that failed really... I think what's come out of it though is that it looks almost inked which I think looks ok, but maybe I should have approached it differently and just digitally inked it.

How did you make it?

Sorry for picking your brains. Again.
(, Mon 8 Oct 2007, 15:40, archived)
# Haha
it's basically a shaded sketch that's been hardened up with a 'Levels' adjustment layer. The finer shading/detailing on the figure is on a masked-out layer so I can just paint bits in where it's needed. The shading layer was made by playing with Levels until it was mainly just greys. The colouring is all done with masked hue/sat adjustment layers.
When it was pretty much in shape I made a couple of merged copies and messed with the blending mode of the top copy. For a while I had it slightly offset and got some interesting effects, but settled for this in the end.
