Do this many odd things happen to other people?
This evening I was moving my friend and his girlfriend into their first home together. It was dead romantic.
Then a police car pulled up behind the van (whilst I was carrying boxes), two police officers got out and walked away and their car rolled down the hill and banged into my back bumper.
The copper kept saying how he had applied it, but he hadn't, the father of the guy who I was moving applied the handbrake so that I could move my van safely.
The worst thing was that they detained me. I kept saying I was leaving and they kept telling me I had to stay or they would 'come after you with blue lights'.
I asked what I was being detained for, given that they had hit my parked van with their car and I had their details now, should I wish to claim, but they just said 'I don't know, but you have to wait for a sergeant.
What are the odds that tomorrow I get a summons for reversing uphill into a parked police car?

what a load of shit and what a waste of time!
surely if you're allowed to have a big heavy stick to hit people you should know to use a hhandbreak on a hill?!

accidents happen and I don't blame them for it, it was just one of those things.
They could have been nicer about it afterwards though, instead of treating me like a criminal.

Best of luck sorting it out.

My brother in law is a policeman, a very good one with lots of skillz (pursuit car, motorbike, helicopter, promotions etc). At every promotional stage he has been beaten on teh first go by the retard with the lowest scores but the special handshake.
