I think the occassional picture of a cool spider

is not really a problem

It was entire Sundays of "Here is a pretty sunset i took a picture of!" that pissed people off.

Still, sticking a top hat and a monocle on the little fella wouldn't go amiss.

My IT boss did something deeply technical and said there were half a million .jpgs on our servers

but that's short of the reality, I have access virtually everywhere, and keep finding the odd bundle of 90mb .tifs in their multitudes

I'm not sure

I got my info from Wikipedia...

But the Orb Web spider is pretty close, same sort of species. The Orb Web, Garden Spider, Cross Spider are all essentially the same thing.
