My favourite Scottish pirate metal band is playing in Philly in April. I wish I could go.

That is quite the awesome,
I must say.
A couple friends and I wanted to maybe go see StaticX or Napalm Death, or one of many other bands at Starland, but my friends can't go because they are LAME. And I don't wanna go to a gig on my own cos...no.

OLOL
They're my friend Casey's favourite band. We really wanted to go, but he got roped into some stupid A7X gig with his band, who are all fucking gay for their guitarists or something. God I hate A7X.

You get good value for money with Napalm Death.
They pack in more songs to an hour or two than I thought was possible
really? They're playing in April, I think. Yeah, April 19th. There's always at least one or two good metal bands playing Starland. I saw Cradle of Filth in there January. I didn't like them so much but their openers were really good.

I don't remember any songs lasting more than 2-3 minutes.
I saw cradle of filth at a festival a few years ago. They were awful.
The singer is so tiny and...shrill, would be the word, I guess. But their guitarist kept making funny faces at me, which was amusing. But they had Satyricon, Divinity Destroyed, and a couple other bands with them that really kicked ass.

No, that really does say "Scottish pirate metal". *googles* Well -- you learn something new everyday. Example: Alestorm.

Well then....
...the people in your image, assuming the words are germaine to them, are desperately insecure.
It all seems to be how they feel about what's going on in some self-referential clubby nightmare. Or was that the point? I'm sorry if I was too un-hip to get it. No - seriously. I'm not taking the piss.
the song is, seemingly to me, about this guy going to a club to rave and dance, and seeing all these stereotypes, and saying how stupid it is, and how people should just dance and not care. But the band themselves are total stereotypes, and obviously really care about their appearance, looking just right for the 'scene', y'know...? Not saying their music's bad or anything, cos I quite like, but yeah...
Anyway, no, I'm neither an Indie Cindy or a Hoxton Hero, nor do I think I am one.

Well then.
It would seem as though I've got the message, albeit in an oblique way.
I have no idea what band or song you're talking about, but I agree about cloney, self-conscious stereotypes and their pointlessness. Sometimes the message transcends the medium, so yay for you!
