This is a link post Careful you don't use emojis portraying black people if you aren't black. You'll be guilty of cultural appropriation.
I guess she makes a good point though. I get so bloody annoyed when I hear about one of those blacks enjoying an episode of Seinfeld or Everybody Loves Raymond.

This is a normal post in what context would you use one?

This is a normal post Perhaps I get tired of using the default (and I assume Asian) yellow emoji.

This is a normal post Well now all the time....I expect.
Isn't cultural appropriation just BS. I mean would we even have rocknroll if someone tapped Elivs on the shoulder and told him to stop that sort of thing. Anyhow I didn't see any evidence. The majority of the world population isn't even white are they just on twitter spamming black gifs all day.

This is a normal post Total BS.
Should we stop wearing trousers because they are a Chinese invention? Every culture has borrowed from each other throughout history. And dreadlocks were present in many cultures simultaneously and aren't the sole preserve of black people.

Anyway, this whole white pride, black pride stuff is just a load of shite. Your skin colour is neither an achievement nor an entitlement to claim credit for the efforts of other people who happen to be the same shade of whatever. Your skin colour just means two people of whatever skin colour fucked. That's it. It's no more significant than ginger cats and tabby cats.

This is a normal post I find labeling people as 'Black' and 'White' to be racially insensitive. Our skin colour isn't black, nor white. It's unnacceptable to call Asians 'yellow', is it not?
I propose we refer to the racial identity of individuals by their skin's closest RAL number or CMYK value. Much less potential for offense.

This is a normal post Pantone Values are often referred to by their name.
I worry that the use of Pantone will only help to reinforce racial prejudice with the overuse of colours such as 'Nigger Brown', 'Dorset Pink' and 'Jewish Beige', amongst others.

This is a normal post Skin colour shouldn't be significant
But in Western cultures it definitely is.

A culture grew around a group who were (and sometimes still are) treated like shit precisely because of that attribute, then we turn round and say "oh it's just like having different colour hair". Sure it should be, but it isn't, and you can't pretend that shit didn't happen.

If homosexuality had never been seen as 'wrong' then there wouldn't be a gay culture. But it was and there is.

Nothing wrong celebrating that, just as we celebrate being English/Welsh/Scottish, our national days, our sports teams. I don't know where celebration ends and appropriation begins.

This is a normal post Celebration is one thing, finger waving and saying "you cant have that because it's not YOUR culture" is another.

who said that there should be one flag for the world and it should be a cunt because we all came from our mother's cunt.

Of course then some people would complain about the colour of the cunt, the type of flaps it had, and whether it was a transgender cunt...

and I roll my eyes when the 'PC gone mad' brigade pipe up. But I struggled with this one.

Sure if you're sending black emojis & "yo ma nigga" to take the piss then yeah, she has a point.

But gifs? Michael Jackson eating popcorn? Really?

"Black people are not here for other people's entertainment"

Pretty sure the comedians pulling funny faces are doing exactly that regardless of their skin colour.

This is a normal post That needs a NSFW tag. The old black and white minstrel footage is deeply offensive and has triggered me.
Also, the presenter's hair is not natural. It has been coiffed into a Caucasian style. That is cultural appropriation and therefore she is a racist. Plus she's wearing regular clothes, she ought to be wearing nothing but a grass skirt and intermittently chucking a spear.
