For years now, I've been trying to work out why I seem to be the only one here who thinks this bloke is a talentless shob.
I've never said anything before - because "If you don't like it, don't say anything, ", and I agree with that, but what do people see in this?

I’ll give him that
Otherwise “I’m not his audience” either, and that’s fine… so it’s not just you

I'm as British as one can get, so it's at least not /entirely/ that.
I suppose it is a bit pythonesque, in its way.
Oh well - I'll go back to sticking to the rules and keep my distaste hidden :-)

I find it as funny as laughing at someone who has a mental disability.
Still, some people like it, and at least it isn't AI...

for me it was more I liked the first one someone posted. I like oddness and wierdness, but I prefer when it's authentic rather than deliberate, at least for repeated viewings

He's clearly not talentless, the retro stylings and effects are well researched at least.
I'm reckon in years to come he will be regarded by some cool kids on whatever replaces tiktok as one of the great performance artists, or they'll be confused and think it's just 70s tv.

I’m rather gratified to discover that it’s not just me who finds it hard to like though.
As to what future generations will make of it though, that assumes that The Algorithm will show it to them, and not some AI rage bait because engagement.

I concur. I liken him to Harry Hill, another "visual" comedian who simply does not float my boat so I no longer watch them.
