As impressive as computer generated imagery is getting, there's an organic element to something created truly by hand that software just can't accurately recreate. It's too clean, even when they try to dirty it.

At a certain point a theatre director will inevitably declare ‘that’s enough painting and hammering...’
I can’t remember ever leaving a theatre arguing about the backdrops/tables/decanters. Lighting was a slightly more interesting discussion.
Yes we live in an age of obsession for exactness and accuracy - but to what end?
Are we replacing imagination with craft?
I’m gazing at my mountain of hygienic paper and wondering how to craft it in such a way as to hold the weight of a human body.
