Don't people do lunch threads any more?
I just burnt my tongue on a cheese and brown sauce toastie

You need to remember to take it out of the Breville
Before you start eating it.

That'll help you avoid getting burnt.

I'm trying to avoid spending my lunchtime vomiting in the gents'.

Ginger/Mint tea
Sorts you out pronto.

Tasted rank but at least my innards no longer feel like a swell on the Pacific Ocean.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:52, Reply)
hey! I helped too!
Although I suppose if you left out the uranium it won't work as well
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 13:03, Reply)
Ah, you were close, and I thank you for your suggestions
But I had ginger tea to hand and no mint.

It has to be flat lemonade.

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:47, Reply)
So you drink it from the floor rather than a glass?

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 13:07, Reply)

And then blame it on the onion.
Utter,utter bastards.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:37, Reply)
Agreed.
I just microwaved the aforementioned cold pizza. It really is quite hot.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:25, Reply)
Leftover pizza + 2 minutes in the microwave + 1 minute to stand = NOM

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:26, Reply)
TWO MINUTES?
Are you insane?
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:29, Reply)
No
If you left the pizza in the fridge over night then 2 minutes gets all the cheese melted again.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:30, Reply)
Is this on full or reheat setting?

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:32, Reply)
reheat

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:32, Reply)
It really does not need two minutes.
There is something wrong with you.

Usually 3 or 4 (square) slices of deep pan pizza with pepperoni, chili beef, cajun chicken and jalapenos.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:43, Reply)
Still doesn't need two minutes

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:44, Reply)
And you experience no toughening of the outer crust?

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:45, Reply)
Nope
I tried 1 min 30, and it would leave some bits not quite hot enough. Still edible, but that extra half minute makes it perfect.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:51, Reply)
I will add that, if I have Dominos
That requires 1 minute, maybe 1.5
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:53, Reply)
longer and it will melt like my brain currently is :)
this is why I suck at cooking, I hear all these useful tips and switch off
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:55, Reply)
Dominos is shit though, why would you eat that?

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:58, Reply)
I only have it if I have guests over and they choose it
I prefer my local, it's cheaper and nicer by far.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:59, Reply)
You need better guests
Dominos really is quite vile.

Sorry Jeff, but as Hull City are playing Bristol City this weekend I must ask you not to post near my posts.

In the event that I haven't paid attention properly and you are in fact a Rovers supporter then "Hi Jeff, How is Danny Coles getting on?"
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:53, Reply)
Us City fans were happy enough to see Coles depart from Ashton Gate and move to Hull
He always seemed to have a poorly knee.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:59, Reply)
True. He wasn't too bad a player, but is mostly remembered for once being Ipswich's man of the match whilst playing for the Tigers

(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 13:09, Reply)
OH fuck me sideways, I'm eating pure orgasam at the moment.
There is a new cafe called "Paul's" near work that we've tried out, I got
- A baggette with melty and crispy cheese and saussage and mustard and OH GOD, ITS SOOOO LUSH
- A 'hazelnut Frothy Milk' - I finished it on the walk to the office and want another.
- A peacan tart that I'll have afterwards

It's unbelievably nice, and the cakes look soooo pretty.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:42, Reply)
Like seriousness, this has replaced my now closing japanese place as my Lush Place Of The Moment.

Is that an offer? It's just that, I _really_ like this sandwich. I suppose I can get you one of your own, but I'm not sharing.
I'll share a bowel of their mushroom soup though, that looked seriously amazingly lush.
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 12:54, Reply)
bowels of soup don't sound so tasty
i guess it's quite niche
(, Fri 17 Dec 2010, 13:01, Reply)

I love this stuff. Big bags of fancy crisp flavours you can't get in single bags, pork pie slice, 4 different types of sandwiches, some cocktail sausages...

I'm going back in for a cake assortment now.
