So I've just started Battlestar Galactica.
I've watched the pilot and first episode and I have to say it's pretty fucking good. Anyone else watching a box-set or series or watched one recently?
(, Wed 23 Feb 2011, 13:23, 191 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
There are parallel plots between that and Tales of the Gold Monkey, apparently.
I don't know how.
(, Wed 23 Feb 2011, 13:24, Reply)
I've never heard of that.
I watched the original series when I was a nipper and enjoyed it. This has got a lot of nods to the original series and is quite emotive.
(, Wed 23 Feb 2011, 13:25, Reply)
Oh this is a new thing?
No idea. I meant the old one.
(, Wed 23 Feb 2011, 13:26, Reply)
2007 I think.
It's like a prequel to the original series, right from the start of the war.
(, Wed 23 Feb 2011, 13:27, Reply)
Do you have the whole series?

(, Wed 23 Feb 2011, 13:28, Reply)
Pilot and series 1-4.
Thank you TPB!

I didn't mind the Pilot episode, just can't see myself ever watching beyond that.

That said, thanks to Bobby I am thoroughly enjoying The Wire. Have also recently discovered Six Feet Under, which is excellent, Supernatural (cheers Amberl), also great (even for boys) and Caprica (early days but superb so far)
