I got up BEFORE EIGHT O'CLOCK! On a Saturday!
I have already taken delivery of two bottles of a new Islay Malt and now I'm at a bit of a loss - I expected to have to wait in most of the day for Parcelforce and now I'm free to do whatever I want any old time.
What are you up to this Saturday?
Alt: Can I come?

I'm just off to town to buy maps of South Pennines for BGB's bash.

2 bottles of Caol Ila Moch. I've also got a bottle of Ardbeg Blasda but that's for a mate's 40th - ironically, I just read a review that says "Moch is the whisky that Blasda should have been". Briefly thought of swapping the bottles over but then figured "screw him".
The problem with reading online reviews of whisky is you just end up reading about other whiskies - blog.thewhiskyexchange.com/2011/02/whisky-tasting-notes-caol-ila-moch/ just makes me want to go into town and pick up a bottle of the Hedonism Maximus.

Top tip kids. If someone says to you, 'lets get on the Old Bristolian cider'.
Don't. Just go home. Leave it well alone.
Fuck my head hurts.

GOOD MORNING JEFF. ARE YOU FEELING DELICATE?
(, Sat 9 Apr 2011, 9:10, Reply)
If not, sooner. I'm tempted with the idea of a quick bottle of Stella and then going to bed.
Yes, I'm feeling a tad rough, but it's nothing that some sleep won't sort out.
That's how I roll.

Who have you got today?
(I've retired to my pit now, I've got the GP qualification on and I'm going to have a snooze)

We haven't lost in 5 and won last week; they've got 1 point from their last 7 games and lost 5-0 last week; our only clean sheet this season came in our home game against them last year when Odemwingie's goal won it 18 hours after signing for us.
So all the omens suggest we'll get spanked. How about you?
(, Sat 9 Apr 2011, 9:24, Reply)
A 0-0 will be a good result. It's one of those games we can easily lose.
(, Sat 9 Apr 2011, 9:27, Reply)
you might as well fucking give up.
(, Sat 9 Apr 2011, 9:57, Reply)
Small matter of a game at Old Trafford today, I can't think of anything I care about less. Just give them a 2-0 bye and be done with it.
(, Sat 9 Apr 2011, 9:30, Reply)
but it worked out well for us :)
We drew with Manure at theirs, no reason you can't too.
(, Sat 9 Apr 2011, 9:43, Reply)
It's the manner in which he did it. "I'm not leaving"....then ten days before the start of the season he fucks off leaving us in the lurch.
(, Sat 9 Apr 2011, 9:54, Reply)
When we went down last time, he was playing up the "Loyalty is important" to stop our best players leaving. Week before the season starts, Celtic come knocking and off he goes... Mind you, di Matteo was a pretty impressive replacement.

Don't think Coppell is Premiership material really.

(, Sat 9 Apr 2011, 9:54, Reply)
still three hours of daylight drinking/beer garden time. And the forecast is even better for tomorrow, if that helps...

No, I'm not sure what bastard helped her to get that job, but he's going to hell. Oh yes.

a rather stupid behaviour that I will be repeating tomorrow. Now it feels like almost lunch time, but in reality it's only just past getting up time.
I have no plans for today other than 'chill the fuck out'.
Alt: meh. If you want. Just don't expect me to entertain you.

she used to say that exact thing to me when I was little if I asked to go somewhere with her.

The Grand National is our big horse race that's on this afternoon - like the Melbourne Cup. It's the one everybody has a bet on. I just figured since it's already Saturday night there, you might know who the winner was...

Due to a cheaper than expected night, I'm going to be slapping £5 on Ballabriggs, as soon as I can be bothered to leave the house.
Alt: No, last time someone with hair like yours went near a horse race, the women ended up getting the vote!
And this is how MY day is starting *grins*

cubed 3 pork loin steaks and browned them in bacon fat. Removed them from the pan and put in 3 shallots, a turnip, a leek and a red pepper all chopped up. Browned them with some garlic, 2 different kinds of mustard, mushroom ketchup and worcestershire sauce. Added it all to the slow cooker with a pack of passata, a couple of glasses of Barolo, some dried mushrooms, sage, basil, thyme and rosemary.
Now to leave it for 4-5 hours and cross my fingers.
*and what everybody else calls "cooking"
