Morning all
What are you planning for dinner today? We're doing a roast chicken with sweet potato mash and other bits and bobs.

Alt: If you had to have an amusing talking animal sidekick what animal would they be and what would they be called?

Alt alt: Where was the worst place you ever went to on holiday?
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 9:44, 58 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
Butter chicken, from scratch. Tandoori chicken has been marinading since yesterday.
Alt: A badger named Alphonzo.
Alt alt: Largs. Death-next-the-sea.

I am drunk.
I have been drinking for nearly 27 hours.
I love drinking.
When I wake up I plan on dinking and eating burgers. I love North America.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 9:55, Reply)
I'm not drunk but I tell you what, my head fucking kills. Bloody football.
I think the only solution is more drink and going to Horse Meat Disco in Vauxhall later tonight.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 9:58, Reply)
Lusty, I was thinking, right, Monty was saying that the only reason we haven't had a fling is because I haven't got a foreskin.
So I just wanted to let you know that I've got one now: imgb.in/93

I've no idea what's for dinner.
But my mum got back from holiday last night, so it's only fair she makes something huge that takes a lot of effort.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 10:01, Reply)
I had winter vegetable cup-a-soup and wholegrain toast for dinner.
Animal would be my pet cat Henry. I'm sure he's got some remarks that are witty enough.
Alt alt: Pine Creek. Never again.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 10:16, Reply)
Dinner will be spaghetti bolognese for everyone else
and carrots, and some bolognese for me

Alt Alt: worst holiday ever was probably the first time I went to France. Parents argued two days in and we returned home
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 10:55, Reply)
I'll probably eat some food, washed down with a drink.
alt: my sidekick is a large breasted Platipus named Percy.

alt alt: your mum
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 10:57, Reply)
My mum has breasts so that invalidates everything you say, ever.

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 12:16, Reply)
Dinner will be my fucking superb bacon explosion
followed up with my equally superb chicken explosion.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 11:15, Reply)
Chicken explosion?

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 12:08, Reply)
No idea.
I don't do roast dinners, so it'll probably be something I find at the back of teh freezer.

Alt: probably a wisecracking smartmouth dog. Biscuit isn't far off, apart from the not-being-able-to-talk thing.

Alt Alt: the Norfolk Broads. In a boat with a leaky roof. In the pissing down rain.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 11:15, Reply)
so a dog then haha?

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 11:39, Reply)
We never do roast dinners either.
We even have curries on Christmas Day.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 12:02, Reply)
Either homemade pizza or some quick pasta and sauce
depending on how arsed I can be. I'm currently debating whether to get dressed and do stuff or just sit around in my pants until the football starts.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 11:23, Reply)
I'm just waiting for the football myself
I'm still in my dressing gown but I've prepped the dinner and have a packet of salt and vinegar pombears. I think Chelsea will lose today and be lucky to make the top four this season.

*checks clock*
*gets ready to eat words in a couple of hours*

It's Stoke playing Chelsea.
There is literally nothing less interesting in the footballing world.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 12:17, Reply)
+ unless Alan Shearer is commentating on it

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 12:18, Reply)
Any game of football that doesn't involve Fulham is quite rubbish actually, it's so boring.
And even we're not very fun, I took my shoes off and played about with my new phone for most of the game yesterday.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 12:23, Reply)
West Brom vs Man United
should be good!
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 12:50, Reply)
If it's at West Brom it will be mildly entertaining.

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 13:46, Reply)
it is aye
I shall be watching via the magic of Sopcast or, if I can be arsed to put some trousers on in the next hour or so, in The Crown.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 14:06, Reply)
Yes there is.
Bristol City are going to lose to Cardiff this afternoon.

I'm planning nothing
I'm having it laid before me like an amazing Arabian feast in a giant tent with camels and dancing girls and shit. Hopefully.

A cat called Percival.

Norway.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 12:55, Reply)
And now I'm going to get the Satsuma Man into the car and head to the giant Arabian feast (that might not be Arabian really, but is in my head)

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 13:00, Reply)
No plans for dinner today.
Alt: No idea.

Alt Alt: Probably some Greek island.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 13:03, Reply)
Whatever island you're talking about I am unaware of, it's all greek to me

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 15:06, Reply)
Dinner will likely be left overs from lunch, so salad and a cheese sandwich
Not much for a Sunday dinner I know, but I ate Gonz-food last night and nothing can live up to that so, why try?

Alt: I think I would be the amusingannoying animal side kick, some ill defintes cross between Timone form the Lion King and Ren Hoek.

AltAlt: Probably the bit of the Dorset Coast between Weymouth and Abbotsbury, I spend all day one walking it with a heavy pack and it sucks, nothing to see and even the sea is hidden my Chesil Beach
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 15:50, Reply)
Just made a tasty treat!
- Fried garlic and thinly sliced chorizo over a low heat in olive oil, let the oil take on the flavour of the chorizo.
- After about 5 minutes, added some finely chopped chicken, kept that moving so that all of it was coated in the oil. Added 2 onions and 2 peppers, diced. (I used green, but entirely your choice)
- 10 minutes later, Put in tinned sweetcorn & peas (will used frozen peas next time, far better texture)
- Seasoned with plenty of salt & pepper, followed by paprika and hot cayenne pepper (to taste).
- Added rice, and half a pint of vegetable stock (didn't have any chicken stock, or I would have had that instead.)
- Serve, and enjoy!

Alt: Horatio the Hamster

Alt Alt: Italy, I was too young to appreciate that holidays are for relaxing, and was bored half the time.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 16:18, Reply)
I've got a packet mussels from Marks'n'Sparks, that are done in shallots and white wine, it's only one packet so I'm going to spruice them up with some chopped onion, white wine, coriander, and ricotta...
and then serve them on a bed of home made spegetti as I have lots of left-over pasta dough.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 16:38, Reply)
the internet totally lied to me
The Crown doesn't have Sky TV at all!

Fortunately the internet giveth and the internet taketh away, as it's providing me a live stream of the game that I'm displaying on the TV.

It's like watching it in the pub but with less beer and more lying on the sofa.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 17:14, Reply)
I hope you get a better result than Bristol City managed today.

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 17:16, Reply)
How'd they do?

(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 17:17, Reply)
Lost 3-1
Two games played this season, 6 goals conceeded.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 17:19, Reply)
last season we were 1 game played, 6 goals conceded.
Strangely 2 games in we had 1 for and 6 against too, but we had some points to show for it.
(, Sun 14 Aug 2011, 17:24, Reply)
At least something actually happened in your game.
Ours was beyond boring, although saying that even if it was the best game in the world I wouldn't have known, this was my view: a4.sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc7/293787_10150241168085736_651445735_7604718_1515280_n.jpg
