Let's see how many we can keep alive at the same time.

What makes you stressed? I can't even think of all what I have to do in the next 3 weeks; I don't think I'll even have time to spend the rest of my holidays.

Alt. How do you relax?
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:51, 111 replies, latest was 14 years ago)
It's money at the moment
I'm stressing over the lead up to Christmas. If I'd been sensible in previous months, this wouldn't be an issue, but ah well, there's nothing I can do about that now.

I've only got 3.5 days holiday left, so sadly I can't even take some time off to chill.

Alt: Reading is probably the best thing for me, especially if I've got a nice ale to enjoy the book with.

EDIT: Also, cooking is very relaxing, as long as I'm not cooking for others, as they just pester me, as I quite like to take my time.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:53, Reply)
As long as you don't get a loan
you'll be fine. Can't you hand made them?

I've got 24 days to use before my maternity leave, but now we're super busy so I don't think I will.

A nice Ale always help, doesn't it?
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:55, Reply)
Can you get paid for the hols you dont take?

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:56, Reply)
Yes,
but I'll have to wait until next year, and I might be quitting before I come back from maternity leave. Just taking the hols made it much easier.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:03, Reply)
Very much so, especially my new favourite, Fursty Ferret.
Aye, I'm avoiding having to go down that avenue again.

Sadly, I'm crap at making things that aren't food, so unless they wanted a slap up meal, I'd be pretty knackered.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:56, Reply)
What about sweets?

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:57, Reply)
I could try, but knowing me, would fuck up

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:04, Reply)
Worth a go though?
Do a trial run or two now and make small batches. Close to Christmas, make them in larger amounts then buy some nice boxes to put them in
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:06, Reply)
Shall have a see
We do secret santa in our family, so we need to make the draw for that soon, so I can work out what else I could possibly do.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:08, Reply)
Do you brew beer
You could do a small batch now and it should be ready for Christmas.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:14, Reply)
Only way that would work is if I get my eldest brother, as only he and I drink Ale, sadly
I'm going to speak to my sister, get her to do the Secret Santa this weekend
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:15, Reply)
Sloe gin?
Every body likes it, and it's easy. And in a nice jar it looks very decorative too.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:29, Reply)
Hmm, this is a good idea

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:35, Reply)
You'll have to go picking the sloes now
or the birds will eat them all!
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:38, Reply)
I agree
Sweets or chocolates.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:04, Reply)
Fursty Ferret is nice
As are several of the Badger ales. My favourite is England's Gold.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:00, Reply)
England's Gold is bloody lovely stuff.

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:02, Reply)
Shall give that a try tonight, methinks

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:04, Reply)
Two internet recommendations?
You'd be a fool not to.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:04, Reply)
Badger ales are very popular on here
I'm yet to try one I don't like
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:07, Reply)
Long Days is quite nice too.
It's more summer beer though. Very slight hint of raspberry, and I don't normally like fruity beers. It's very subtle, though.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:09, Reply)
Ooh I've not tried that one
I too don't really care for fruit beers, but if it is subtle in the same way as Williams Bros' Grozet (hint of gooseberry) then I should think I might like it.
I like beer.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:12, Reply)
It is very, very subtle, so worth a try.
There's one Badger beer I'm not keen on as it's got a quite strong grapefruity aftertaste. Might be Golden Glory.

if you have an Aldi nearby they were doing a 12 bottle box with Long Days, England's Gold, Fursty Ferret and Tangle Foot in it. Think it was £14.99.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:15, Reply)
*makes mental note to check Aldi tonight*

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:19, Reply)
It's worth a look
they had stacks in our local one over the summer. Not sure if there will be any left now.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:28, Reply)
Golden Glory has a kind of flowery peachy taste
Which I rather like. There is also Golden Champion tastes of elderflowers.
I may have to find my nearest Aldi, although I usually use a nice independent offie.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:20, Reply)
Peachy, that was it.
Not keen, personally.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:26, Reply)
One is enough
I wouldn't drink it all night.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:37, Reply)
I'm not very keen on Poacher's Choice
But apart from that, the rest are delicious.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:10, Reply)
Do it.
Your tastebuds will love you for it.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:05, Reply)
Too many threads make me stressed.
Alt: Until current stocks run out and I give up - I get stoned.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:53, Reply)
So
We're forcing you into drugs by asking too many questions?
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 14:55, Reply)

You're doing it again?
I thought you had enough last year.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:17, Reply)
That sounds awesome
I mean, I'd be happy with a whole 8 hours, but a whole year? Wow.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:17, Reply)
You'd get bored
Sleeping is over rated.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:27, Reply)
You won't think that in a couple of months

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:36, Reply)
I was just joking
I'm already missing it. Not that I don't sleep at night, I kind of pass out and don't even feel the baby or go to the toilet, but I feel tired all day.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:44, Reply)
I'm still not getting the September ending thing

Oh, he's nasty
I've been thinking why he found it funny, and I know now.

Would you be upset with me if I inscribe you to the Gok show? I think he'll do you nicely and you'll feel much better after it.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:32, Reply)
No, he'll only try and make me all girly and boring.
I prefer being single and looking a bit different.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:35, Reply)
I don't think he will
He'll try to keep your style, but making your good bits look better. I honestly think you're very sexy, and you keep putting yourself down.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:37, Reply)
I second this comment.

Do you know if they like babies?
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:13, Reply)
Not really but I think Mildew does.

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:15, Reply)
The missus does.
I couldn't eat a whole one, myself.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:18, Reply)
Mildew?
If they don't like babies then there's no point. I was going to ask them to babysit.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:19, Reply)
Mildew is the dog.
I would totally babysit if you lived nearer.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:22, Reply)
I see, the dog
Thank you! It's good to know, if a bit impractical.

The midwife recommended us to have a second person in the hospital during the delivery. We thought of you but, again, impossible. I wish they'd invented teletransport already.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:25, Reply)
Aw : )
I would have loved that.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:28, Reply)
It would have been great to have you here
but then you'd need to be on call for the next 9 weeks, and be able to get to Worthing on a couple of hours. Impossible.

Then we thought of asking chickenlady, as she's a woman with experience, but she's got enough in her life as it is, poor thing.
(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:31, Reply)
Like 6-packs and MASSIVE COCKS *falls over, giggling*

(, Tue 4 Oct 2011, 15:34, Reply)
