i don't know about you guys, but I need a holiday
my last one (excluding larp events) was over 4 years ago (it was my honeymoon).
I expect many of you need a holiday too, so where are we all going and what will happen?

I haven't had a holiday since summer last year and I'm fucking desperate for one.
I'm going up north for a few days over my birthday weekend, that should be brilliant. I need a change of scene. I hope to get up to the Lake District in the spring too and give my legs a proper fucking workout, I really want to get up some of those big hills and see the views.

I haven't been on holiday since my son was born.
I haven't been abroad since I was 19.
We might try and get a holiday next year, would be nice. Doubt we'll go abroad.

I'll keep it for my next upgrade though, it does look quite good although there's plenty of talk about it being a bit buggy. Maybe the next proper release will be worth looking into.

I have contemplated chucking a small tent or bivvy in my rucksack and doing a long trail, like the Ridgeway.
www.nationaltrail.co.uk/ridgeway/ It looks fucking amazing and I could do it in a week. I'm sure I'd come back though, I like my bed and shower too much. Maybe two nights in B&Bs in the middle.

In the last two years I've been abroad seven times.
But the longest of any of those was three nights. I wouldn't mind going on holiday but fuck knows who I'd go with, 'lads' holidays are my worst nightmare.

My last holiday was my honeymoon, too.
Last year, though. It was fantastic, apart from the weather, which was pish.
We haven't been abroad as a couple since we got the dog, as we won't put him in kennels. That's our choice though, so I don't bitch about it.
I think I'd be the person who chills out with a drink and a book, or having a natter by the bar. Definitely has to involve a nice cocktail though.

We actually had two lodges, as there were eight of us, plus the dog, and we made it into a big family do - more of a continuation of the wedding, really.

Prefer a few long weekends away rather than one two week break - otherwise get bored.
There are so many parts of the UK to enjoy for long weekends too - Cornwall, Dorset, Northumberland (which is particularly superb), the peak district, Devon, lake district, cotswolds.
If I was to have a long break (without family commitments) it would either be to see the tigers in India or to go back to Tibet.

They've missed a trick in not referring to mid Northumberland as 'Moaty Country' though.
Tour operators could make a fortune organising extreme hide and seek weekends.
