	9 month on nicotine gum worked for me.I then just switched to normal chewing gum because I was so used to chewing something all the time. I didn't notice the difference at all and then just slowly cut down on that. Haven't smoked in a year and two months now.
It was really as easy as I made that sound, BUT it was my 5th or 6th attempt to quit and I failed miserably every other time, so I assume something in my mindset was different this time too.
