2 slices of white bread and a thick coating of butter. That's dinner sorted then.

What are you having for dinner tonight?

Leftover sausage and lentil stew
embuggerance is a good word, although it might not actually be a real one.

In other news, I am moving house in approximately 24 hours, am not yet home and have not begun packing. I also have to be up at 6am for work. Supper may also involve industrial quantities of caffeine and sugar.
(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 18:52, Reply)
I've perfected a dish now, which I'm having tonight.
Duck breasts, with crispy skin and pink flesh, coated in 5 Spice and some teyrakki sauce. Sliced thinly and put inside wrapped up lettus leaves with jullien'd spring onion, and a sauce made from all the juices of the duck, five-spice, oil and teyakki sauce.

I'd do my own teryakki sauce but it's mid-week and I CBA with the washing up of it afterwards.

I swear, someone could do themselves well by being my misses, it'd be a treat for all involved.
(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 18:59, Reply)

I was going to look them up.

I tell you what, it's fucked up. I shall read more - I think my job might change in the next few decades

When someone on your course (the arty one, not the forrensic one) submits an Instagram url for an end of term project, it's then that you need to reasses your position.
Did you also hear about the 41mpx nokia smartphone? And no, that's not a typo.
(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 19:26, Reply)
Well we already do stuff
with old cameras, liquid light, etc. to make stuff look old. There's a vague limit on filter stuff, since most filters are shit and just cover for bad photography. Also, I hate HDR.

That 41mp thing? Not sure why they bothered, if the lens is still small and shit and the CCD is titchy, it's just a marketing/wanky gadget thing
(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 19:29, Reply)
the 41mp thing is horseshit.
they might as well have stopped at about 2mp for all the difference it makes to the quality of pictures you take on a phone. s'all about the lens and the sensor, baby.
(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 19:32, Reply)
*To both replies*
Yeah', I know, totally agree. The eye can only see so much detail (I *think* it's like around 330dpi, as best as they can guess such a thing), and unless you're blowing up the image to the size of a building, it's pointless. Even more so when only viewed on a screen, such as on a website. Plus I can't even imagine what the filesizes are.

However, I've just had a thought, using it to create a digital zoom (as in, a 41mpx at 1x zoom, you could grab 30mpx of that and it would be like a #x zoom.).... so it's not as bullshitty as first thought.

But yeah', CCD and lens is where it's at. Is it me, or has Carl Zuse gone shit for mobile phone cams these days? My Lumia 800 is a shit camera, but the last one I had years ago on a SE phone was ace at the time.
(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 19:51, Reply)

I might call it a "deconstructed asian duck salad" now just to piss you off.

(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 19:06, Reply)
I think it's duck pancakes sans pancake.

(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 19:16, Reply)
It's exactly what it's like, except the duck isn't deep fried.

(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 19:25, Reply)
you don't deep fry crispy duck. well, I don't. maybe I'm doing it wrong...

(, Thu 1 Mar 2012, 19:30, Reply)
