Good morning all and isn't it a lovely day.
I awoke early and have now done two loads of washing, put away all the crockery, rearranged my wardrobes and I'm now sitting listening to music with a steaming mug of smug.
Tell me, dear B3TANs, what are your plans for this excellent Sunday?

Alt: Do you listen to radio comedy? If so, what do you like/recommend and if not, why not?

I worked all day.
And since I've got home, I've printed off all my notes that are available for the week ahead, done the tutorial questions for my organic chemistry class and put away my laundry (after three days of it sitting there).

Don't really listen to the radio, but when I do, I enjoy listening to Hamish and Andy. They're funny.

I'm awake
My plan is to go and get breakfast and then consider the long drive home.

How far is a "Long" drive?
Remember, you're talking to an Australian here. ;)
(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 9:23, Reply)
Okay. I'll type slowly in that case.
Took about four and a half hours to get here, I expect it to take a similar about on time to get back.
(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 9:26, Reply)
Oh yeah, that is a long drive.
STOCK UP ON MUNCHIES.

There was a great quote about the difference between Americans and Brits
'An American thinks a hundred years is a long time, An Englishman thinks a hundred miles is a long way.'
When I worked in Oz I once went to a party with my ex boss. We drove about 2 1/2 hours to get there & he didn't think that was excessive!
(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 9:28, Reply)
hmmm see would depend on the nature of the party.
I wouldn't drive 2 and a half hours for just a regular party. a 21st or an 18th or a wedding, yep, defs. I've also driven 3 and a half hours for a 2 hour dance class though, so can't really say anything against your ex boss!.

We stayed over at the guy's house
The party went on for a loong time & I finally surfaced about noon! Great fun though, lovely people.

SHIT PISS FUCK
A big chunk of one of my teeth has split open =(((((((((((( I could feel grit after I brushed my teeth last night but didn't think too much of it and then today my tounge felt the gap. I think its my tablets, they fuck up my bones. I'm now like "HOLY FUCK, IM GOING TO HAVE ALL MY TEETH HAVE TO BE RIPPED OUT AND ITS GOING TO COST ME MILLIONS OF POUNDS AND BE REALLY PAINFUL* AND IM GOING TO LOOK LIKE THE BLOKE ON THE FAG PACKET". Thankfully its round the back and down the side so you can't see it.

Kids, go to your dentist every 6 months. No, every 3 months. Give him a call on christmas and birthdays to keep in touch. In fact, give him a call right now, he won't mind, he'll be pleased to hear from you. Bring him some flowers and a card, let him know he's in your thoughts. Tell him he's free to call you at any time of the day, just to catch up, and then remind him that the situation is recipicated.

I thought all those dreams about all my teeth falling out were about anxiety, not actaully my teeth falling out.

* It doesn't hurt at all.

Oh good, Ma' just took a look, couldn't even see it 'till I pointed it out, it's not like my tooth has split open and is all black and rotten and grim, it's only a tiny chip.

coffee needs milk and sugar
Black coffee is the devil's piss.
(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 14:35, Reply)
nah coffee just needs sugar
most effective way to get full of caffiene and sugar and go on a rampage
(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 14:38, Reply)
Coffee does not need sugar or milk
I can understand milk, but if you're not old enough to drink things without sugar in them then your not old enough to be drinking coffee either.
(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 15:01, Reply)
I'm so hard core I can drink my coffee without...
Milk,sugar water and coffee.

Radio comedies, I would love to get hold of the Captain kremmin radio shows, I remember them as a child. Kenny Everett was totally lolwaki.

Apart from that I have been making the most of this brief spell of sunshine, after a long family bike ride I'm now drinking my first pint of the day.

I ran a half marathon this morning.
I'm kind of tired now. The wife is making noises in the kitchen, but I'm not getting up to see what she's doing.
(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 15:29, Reply)
Take my word for it
Make sure you have a complete cool down, to flush the lactic acid out of your system.

How did you get on with it? My last marathon was 1998 I still remember the pain.
(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 15:33, Reply)
2hrs 27mins, a minute longer than my last one.

(, Sun 15 Jul 2012, 15:38, Reply)
Nice one
3H 42mins was my best time but that was a full marathon and almost 14 years ago.
