I decided to get a beer last night after work
Nipped to Tesco, saw there was an offer on of 4 large bottles of Stella for £5, thought I'd get that, then have the other 2 tomorrow.
Nope.
Ow, my head.

Woodforde's brewery now does "beer boxes" by mail order
18 or 36 pints. I've ordered one to see what they're like. The weekend may be blurry.

I'll find out soon......
Hopefully it'll be like a wine box and suitable for a pint every so often over a couple of weeks or so, if it has to be drunk within a week of opening things. could get messy.

Very much so.
Spikeypickle of these pastures has made cider on a couple of occasions which needed to be drank quickly. That stuff was fucking evil.

What's the beer like?
I would expect it to be cheaper than it is, especially directly from the brewery.

I had a mixed box of theirs last year
all were excellent. Their "Ketts Rebellion" is what I'm looking at, £30 plus £3.50 delivery for 18 pints, so £1.90 a pint or so.

Thresher did two exclusive varieties of Leffe back in the day
One of them was spicy and had bits floating in it. As you've probably gathered, I don't know what the bits were. But it was fantastic.
Threshers folded, so Leffe stopped making it. Sad times.

That did for me at a friend's wedding a couple of years ago.
During the wedding breakfast I was one of two people drinking the red wine on the table, which was fine.
But in the evening I was happily knocking back those little bottles of Innes & Gunn like pop.
The evening ended with me vomiting on my shoes.
I'm nothing, if not classy.

Last night's tour of the lagers
was Blue Moon, Hoegaarden, Amstel and Estrella.
Apart from Amstel they are all acceptabe brews. The Amstel is obviously a penalty pint, but the King's Wark only serves Amstel and Heineken, the cunts.

estrella's just a spanish lager, but it's pretty good.
Blue Moon is a meerkan wheat beer. They seem to insist on serving it with a slice of orange in it. Weirdos.
