I think we need a new thread without certain words in the title.
How was your weekend?

Mine was very good, but I did have to leave a party early after having my first hash for 9 months and then thinking everyone was staring at me for what felt like 4 hours. But was actually about 10 minutes.

How was yours?

These type of remarks are usually attrributed to US tourists.
But I watched Pointless a few weeks ago and only 58% of 100 people asked could name Elizabeth II when asked to list C20th English monarchs.

Scotland played better than the score implied. England were good apart from 60-70 minutes in; got a bit sloppy.

(, Mon 4 Feb 2013, 11:47, Reply)
Oh wow man
So this big burly bloke got the ball and ran like two metres then another bloke hit him so he had to put the ball down and someone else picked it up and ran a bit then passed it, not forwards cos that'd be too entertaining, then the referee stopped the game for some obscure reason and one team had to kick it a long way then the other team got the ball and went through all of the above.

Repeat. For 80 minutes. But less exciting than I'm making it sound.

It started early because Mrs tangle was ill on Friday, so I had the day off to look after baby tangle, then had an almost unbearably hot curry in the evening.
Went out drinking in Kenilworth on Saturday night and didn't have to leave early because I'm not a lightweight who can't handle a smoke.
Sunday was spent taking care of tedious domestic duties, combined with lols with baby tangle.

Halal just means "Allowed", and "Hareem" means the oppersite.

It's all the rules, rather than the ritual/prayers, which are called something else.
(, Mon 4 Feb 2013, 12:20, Reply)
I don't like that story at all,
mainly because it means that what these big companies say is in their food, isn't necessarily what is in there food.
Which I think is bad.

That's my thinking.

I've done dozens of expermental / trial drugs before.
I mean, it's all stuff that they know is fit for human concumption, it's more that the expermental side is its effect on what I have.

So maybe possibly.
(, Mon 4 Feb 2013, 12:32, Reply)
I was put in the trials for this some years ago by my GP
They were investigating the drug's effects on chronic neuropathic pain to see if it was an effective alternative/adjunct to opiates. AFAIK it's still only prescribed for MS spasticity even though I felt it gave me some relief from pain.

Theres a lot of evidence for a positive effect on autoimmune diseases.
Not enough for it to be on the NHS yet. But you can always ask your doctor about it.

How would asking his doctor about it help?
It is not approved for any clinical uses, is it?
(, Mon 4 Feb 2013, 12:26, Reply)
No but a doctor will be able to say if use will interfear with any other drugs he's on. And that's important.

(, Mon 4 Feb 2013, 12:30, Reply)
Best chat to either your GP or if you've got a specific chrones nurse/consultant.
They'll either say worth a try or not worth a try and then move on from there.

Yep, that's what I reckon.
Being honest though, it's not medical reasons why I wanna try it as a once-off.

Went up to Birmingham, had a few beers
Had a curry which just served to make me sad that you can't get anything nearly that good in London. Then quite a few more beers before crashing in a mate's spare room.

Went to the football on Sunday, my team had a player sent off for spitting at an opponent and we lost. FFS, if you're going to get sent off knock the cunt out, at least that way we remove one of their better players.

Came back knackered, tube closures required faffing with DLR which made it worse, so had takeout pizza and went to bed early.

Good stuff, bad stuff, it was a rollercoaster ride really.
