southerners don't do chip shop chips properly
you need to go to yorkshire for that, lad
(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 11:58, 5 replies, latest was 12 years ago)
Northerners run my local chippy.
I don't go there because of this.
(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 11:58, Reply)
i suspect you don't really know what a northerner is
you probably include the ghastly midlands in there
(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 12:00, Reply)
I was born in Chester. Is that North?

(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 12:01, Reply)
that actually gives you a fair amount of credibility
although i suspect you were hatched rather than born
(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 12:01, Reply)
Well, that's where the lab was.

Given that I moved sSouth before I was one, I wouldn't say I was in any way Northern.
Apart from the fact I moan alot.

(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 12:02, Reply)
Deep fat fryers are only sold in the North, so I've heard.

(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 12:03, Reply)
My gran used to use lard (I think) when making chips.
When her chip pan cooled down, it solidified in a big white lump. You couldn't move the basket at all.
(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 12:03, Reply)
would probably be dripping
not lard. lard makes everything taste and smell of rendered pig.
(, Mon 9 Sep 2013, 12:04, Reply)

Y'know you'd think the Irish would do chips
But in Cork 'city' there's about three chippies (or 'chippers' as the dreadful potato wogs call them) and they're all shite. Well one's alright, but they put your food in a pizza box. A PIZZA BOX.
