They love it.
They stand a far better chance of getting some without my adonis-like features around siphoning off all the quality blart.

/I dunno mate. I get a lot of "but are you sure you can't come out tonight?". Perhaps they need me to use as a coatstand or sutin.

About a year ago, on my birthday, predictably enough I got fucking hammered.
However, I stood up at one point, and keeled over backwards, smacking the back of my head on the metal foot of a table.

I was very, very lucky not to pull a Mrs Neeson.

That was a bit frightening in retrospect, particularly as a girl in our office had done pretty well exactly the same, and had ended up going on the sick for three months before having to quit completely.

Best: saw some awesome piano blues played by candlelight this year, while Mrs V and I drank cocktails and whisky respectively. That was jolly nice.

My 40th ended up being shit; cancelled everything I had planned.
One of the best nights this year had to be when away camping with Stunned & Boyce. Lots of meat roasted on an open fire, lots of booze and lots of shit talked.

Camping is always a laugh.
Went to the lakes the other week, 2 nights in an outward pursuit centre place, one night in a bothy. Fucking freezing in the bothy, so someone decided to demonstrate morris dancing, in an effort to warm up. This involved whisky obviously.
(, Wed 20 Nov 2013, 16:40, Reply)
Wow, that sounds like the shittest thing ever

(, Wed 20 Nov 2013, 16:42, Reply)
The guy who demonstrated it actually takes it seriously, most didn't.

(, Wed 20 Nov 2013, 16:45, Reply)

Best nights out were definitely every night in Paris.
Nobody judges you for having a kerbside bottle of wine.
True, this is in a cafe and not in the gutter.

Worst night was probably when I went home to Newcastle and realised I've grown out of the "Lets get MORTAL" phase and m mates haven't.
The scene was exactly the same as when I left years ago and I spent the night throwing up and most of the next day, bilious.

Stay classy!
(, Wed 20 Nov 2013, 16:38, Reply)
well I never
Learning is fun kids, I didn't realise that the Faeroes weren't part of the UK, I always assumed they were like the Orkneys etc.

We have a very eclectic selection of listeners on here. Ranging from "this is great! I'm amazing!", to "That's shit, you cunt"
(, Wed 20 Nov 2013, 17:59, Reply)
I'll listen to pretty much anything, if that narrows things down.

(, Wed 20 Nov 2013, 18:24, Reply)
Well, at the minute I'm listening to:
Imagine Dragons
Birdy
The Temper Trap
Alanis Morissette's last album was decent "Havoc and Bright Lights" if you like her!

Arctic Moon, Above and Beyond, Gareth Emery (The dreaded trance, these are quite melodic. Above and Beyond do stripped back sessions with Orchestras, don't mention it to Dozer)
(, Wed 20 Nov 2013, 18:29, Reply)
I listen to a load of synth pop too but have out gayed myself for one day.

Have you heard the one he's done with Trembling Bells?
There's a line in that that goes:

'I used to be your universe
You're not even my Birmingham"

(, Wed 20 Nov 2013, 19:45, Reply)
Some of their collaborations are pretty good
I've a lot of time for Alex Nielsen, in spite of not caring much for Trembling Bells' last couple of albums.
