I wish I could get paid 40 grand to push on a couple of levers.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:08, 1 reply, 12 years ago)
You could apply for a job doing this?

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:10, Reply)
I could, but i have an education. I'd be wasting that.
Plus I'd have to regularly rub shoulders with the sort of people that don't even have the necessary drive to learn a proper trade. They're really only one step up from dole-scum and get given a similarly ridiculous sum of money to continue their meaningless, empty lives.

Don't forget 46 days holiday.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:16, Reply)
Fucking Morlock cunts have it made, mate.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:16, Reply)
46 days holiday?
Bloody hell - no wonder so many times we have delays due to staff shortages - they've probably completely forgotten they've actually got a job.
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:18, Reply)
There is literally no downside to driverless tube trains.
The reason the drivers are scared is because they'll have to get real jobs where they'll actually have to work for a living and get paid what their skills are worth.
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:19, Reply)
And if they're lucky enough to have someone jump in front of them they get a year off on full pay!

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:20, Reply)
As I become increasingly misanthropic, I'm starting to seriously consider a career with TfL.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:21, Reply)
2 jumpers and it's automatic retirement on full pay.

Sign me up for Cashmere!

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:27, Reply)
I do love cashmere. Can't wear lambswool or anything like that, has to be cashmere.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:27, Reply)
I prefer big, thick lambswool jumpers.
Cashmere just doesn't seem to keep me as warm.
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:32, Reply)
* something about your dodgy cardigan *

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:33, Reply)
Warmest item of clothing I have ever owned.
Even if it is, perhaps, not an especially socially acceptable one. I fucking love it, anyway.
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:34, Reply)
I prefer using the tanned hides of working class children.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:36, Reply)
no no no
poor preciouses need mollycoddling and MOAR job security than anyone else gets
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:23, Reply)
Christ - apparently only 30% voted in favour but they are going ahead anyway
not even you can defend a strike where 70% of members voted no or didn't vote
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:25, Reply)
Your statistics don't tell a complete story, so can't really be used to argue for either side.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:28, Reply)
bollocks
how is 30% a sufficient majority of anything?
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:28, Reply)
I don't think I said that it is.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:31, Reply)
It would be interesting to hear how they came to the conclusion that they should go on strike, despite only 30% of their members voting for it.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:37, Reply)
Probably a quorum of members required innit

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:39, Reply)
Yer.
Nice.
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:41, Reply)
To be fair I gave YM 30% of my length last night
and it fill her to the quorum...

*or something
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:42, Reply)
In IT Terms a quorum is normally tiny
HTH
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:45, Reply)
Dont speak geek soz
(but yes it is very tiny :-( )
(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:46, Reply)
It would also be interesting to hear why people didn't vote.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:43, Reply)
No one asked me

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:45, Reply)
It's because no one cares about your opinion.

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:48, Reply)

(, Mon 3 Feb 2014, 11:49, Reply)
