I've jsut found a copy of the new Mastodon album
It is fucking epic and the lot of you can fuck off with your negativity and shit. NOW YOU FUCKING OWN IT!!!!!!!!
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:24, 4 replies, latest was 11 years ago)
I do not own it. I would neither purchase or illegally acquire this embarrassingly dire item.

(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:25, Reply)
Go fuck yourself.

(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:27, Reply)
I would sooner do that than listen to cringeworthy vocals and screams, with lyrics supplied by a dim witted teenager in a trench coat

Any excuse for a wank

(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:32, Reply)
The latest album is actually, dare I say it, quite tuneful and traditional in parts.
And then in some parts it just fucking rocks and widdles like an epilectic toddler
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:28, Reply)
I still like Blood Mountain the best

(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:29, Reply)

(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:48, Reply)
It is fantastic.
I'm really glad I go tot see them on the Crack the Skye tour though. Listening to that whole album played live was superb, and they still managed to cram in Colony of Birchmen, March of the Fire Ants and Blood and Thunder at the end.
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:31, Reply)
It's no Reign in Blood though, is it?

(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:36, Reply)
It's not the same, but I think they rank equally highly in terms of brilliance.

Sorting out shit and stumbled across Welcome to Sky Valley again yesterday, quite wonderful

I was there last year.
Did you see they guy crowd surfing in a wheelchair during Municipal Waste?
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:48, Reply)
Yes I fucking did.
Nearly 360 of you fuckers came over in two and a half fucking minutes.
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:54, Reply)
Were you fixing the fence during lamb of god?

(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:55, Reply)
I was working response in the Sophie Lancaster tent on the Saturday.
I missed it, but I did tell them it wasn't going to take the crowd pressure on the Thursday. They were having trouble getting permission to bury the cables, but that soon changed and it was sorted by Sunday morning.
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:58, Reply)
I was very impressed that the crowd were so well behaved,
when Randy told everyone to hold fire for five minutes and take a step back everyone did just that.

It was the same when I saw Slayer at the forum a few years back. Someone broke their neck in the mosh pit and the band stopped halkfway through a song and walked off, and then Tom came back on and said sorry and asked everyone to quiet down while we waited for an ambulance to arrive.

Metal crowds are always surprisingly nice.
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 15:02, Reply)
Metal crowds are by far the best.
They look after each other, which is absolutely key to things going well for everyone.
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 15:06, Reply)
I don't mean to cast dispersions on stupid cunts like Dozer
but hip hop crowds are the worst I've seen. Apart from when I saw the Kaiser Chiefs at Shepherds Bush, that was a horrible atmosphere.
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 15:08, Reply)
I have to agree, to a point.
'Indie' crowds are by far the worst, but only when it's pure indie. It's like a giant meet-up for football hooligans. Hip-hop crowds are a close second, next to dance music crowds.
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 15:09, Reply)
you don't need to
just let him post for himself
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 15:11, Reply)

They're on at Sonisphere on the Sunday, are they worth a watch then?
I think Dropkick Murphys are on at the same time and I might've heard a bit of one of their songs once and it's possible I liked it so I was going to watch them.
(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:30, Reply)
Definitely worth a watch. The guitarist is the biggest hairiest bastard you'll ever see playing such amazing metal guitar.

(, Tue 17 Jun 2014, 14:32, Reply)
They are epic live, me and Al saw them at Brixton
I was deaf for days and couldn't move my head
