Stay away from radio and TV for at least a week, then approach with caution.

I liked some of his songs, I wasn't a massive fan, but he was a talented chap.

This pretty much sums it up for me too.
He had his say in changing the face of music, whatever else you say about him.

It's quite disturbing in a "no more for you lads, you're drunk already - piss off home" way

I'd have bummed Bowie if the opportunity had presented itself.

Just read this exchange from two grown men on Facebook
Guy 1 - I know it's ridiculous but I keep crying. My 12-year-old thinks it's ridiculous: "What's wrong with you? You didn't even know him!" Thankfully, my 2 youngest kept hugging me this morning. I haven't given birth to complete heartless bitches.

Guy 2 - Not ridiculous at all. Of all tracks it was "Under Pressure" on 6 Music earlier that had my blubbing in the kitchen. It's like your life flashes before your eyes as a film with its own Bowie soundtrack kicking in at every key moment. How can this not be gut-wrenchingly emotional?

In Memoriam.
From Viz letterbocks page
"On a recent Johnathan Ross show, David Bowie said he doesn't change his baby daughter's nappy. What a hypocrite. He wasn't afraid of shit when he was a bummer, why now?"
