pleaase?
Actually, buy one of them anyway, because in a few years it will be worth about £5-600, Port Ellen is a closed distillery, so each output becomes rarer and rarer, therefore the value goes up and up!
( , Wed 12 Nov 2008, 17:28, Reply)

Although I'd rather spend £85 on ten bottles of vodka...
The problem is, if I buy an expensive bottle of anything "to keep", I'll end up drinking it when I'm pissed one night.

I'm not too bad thanks. Got a day off tomorrow consisting of a dentist appointment, a hospital appointment (lithium here I come) and trying to get to grips with Linux.
Tonight I'm eating, tidying my room, watching heroes and starting on the journey to Linux installation.
Now that you've got my life story for the next 24 hours - how are you?
( , Wed 12 Nov 2008, 19:29, Reply)

Been working like a bastard the last few days while I get to grips with a new system at work. Not too fussed as the week's flying past and I'm off down to see Lusty on Friday so all is well:)
Tonight I'm just mootching about on here and listening to some music.
( , Wed 12 Nov 2008, 19:32, Reply)

Ours is held in contempt by pretty much everybody mostly because of pretty iffy implementation and the fact that the system itself and our business structure don't really suit each other.

rescuing the balloons was rather fun, actually.
I had to go up a huge laddery thing and tempt them down using another balloon with a bit of sellotape on it.

Eh?
( , Wed 12 Nov 2008, 20:53, Reply)

This exponential sofa is ... well ... growing at an exponential rate. It won't be long until it's big enough to occupy all of our real-world locations.
EDIT: @BK: And if it keeps growing, it will become extraterrestrial too.

@dok, woo, Embra!

I am going to that, yeah!
The micro bash was ace. We got through oodles of red wine, I glared at a drunk man who squared up to me for no reason until he apologised while we were heading for more wine, we drank a fair bit of gin, and had a walk by the nearby Abbey and looked at the old gravestones.
Think I crashed out at about half four.

@BK: Sounds like you two had an ace weekend!
( , Wed 12 Nov 2008, 21:06, Reply)

At lunchtime I had to go to the bank for a meeting regarding life insurance and other such mundane but necessary bank-y sort of things.
So while I was waiting to see an advisor, sitting in the comfy chair provided for that very purpose, a young girl came in, spoke to the woman at the cash desk and came to take a seat next to me. She was quite nice looking, and well dressed. Not at all chavvy.
However, when she sat down next to me I was instantly transported back to 1991.
Because I got a whiff of her perfume, and it was exactly the same as the Magic Tree I used to have in my MkII Cavalier 17 years ago!
I didn't laugh in her face, but it was a close thing.
( , Wed 12 Nov 2008, 21:06, Reply)

It was ace. We were both incredibly ropey Sunday morning though. The Remembrance parade with bagpipes and stuff going past the window didn't help though.
Still, I met up with some mates in the pub when I got back and had about 8 pints so I felt much better!
( , Wed 12 Nov 2008, 21:07, Reply)

I would like to share with you yet another reason why I am a retard.
Today one of my colleagues passed me a callback to do for him. It was a Mr Lyons and I only had a 'work' landline number for him (i work for skodafone if you don't know already) so could not open an account. I was told he would give me the info when I spoke to him. I was also told that he works with his brother, so make sure I asked for Mr C. Lyons.
That's how I ended up speaking to a nice lady at Chester Zoo asking to have a word with Sea Lions.
Which wouldn't have been so bad, but then she shouted at me and told me that prank calls are ILLEGAL.
This is not true? Is it?
Also, I am dim. Though in my defence, this was pre-coffee.
( , Wed 12 Nov 2008, 21:38, Reply)
