I just booked a holiday!
What kind of holidays do you like?

Active? Beachy? Lazy? Historical? Sexual?
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:02, archived)
Where did you go for in the end?
I like a lazy beachy one. with lots of books.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:04, archived)
I'm going to stay here
www.holidaylettings.co.uk/rentals/marazion/87651

It's in Marazion in Cornwall
maps.google.com/maps?f=q&source=s_q&hl=en&geocode=&q=marazion+cornwall&sll=50.120413,-5.475955&sspn=0.013758,0.033174&ie=UTF8&ll=50.12498,-5.47411&spn=0.055027,0.132694&t=h&z=13&iwloc=A

I hope it'll be lovely. I decided to stump up and extra £40 for our own cottage in the end, i hope it's the right decision.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:09, archived)
Looks very pretty with nice views

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:09, archived)
Marazion is lovely.
You'll really enjoy it, and it is the perfect post-essay retreat,
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:10, archived)
You've been there?
I hope it's good. Az says it's pretty lovely.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:11, archived)
Aye, it's really small but very lovely.
Plus you will be quite near to Penzance, St Ives and a few other places too :)

St Michaels Mount is well worth a visit if you get chance.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:13, archived)
Well we're there for a week so I'm certainly planning a visit.

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:16, archived)
I'll second the St Michael's Mount endorsement.
Also, see if the Minnack theatre has anything on while you are there.

Curiosity will get the better of you, but brace yourself for Lands End.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:21, archived)
I really like Holidaying in Cornwall (If you could guarantee the weather)
It has just about everything, Big beaches, plenty of surfing, lots to do inland etc.
A few years ago my GF and I spent 2 weeks in the pissing rain, vowed never to go back again.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:05, archived)
I'm off to Cornwall.
I bloody hope it's sunny but if it isn't it'll be jumpers and walking on the beach and nice pubs and that I guess, still pretty lovely.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:09, archived)
Are either of you going to be driving?
*gets out WW's Big Book Of Awesome Cornish Pubs*
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:11, archived)
No but we're going to take bikes.

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:12, archived)
*gets out slightly smaller book*
Actually, there is a very good rail service so you should be ok.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:14, archived)
Hee hee.
Railway pub crawl!
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:15, archived)

Da Swinehoonts have been seen around your window. Better pull down Da
Shades when you rub Da Baboon with Da Lamb Chop.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:06, archived)
Me and my friends are thinking of going on one.
It will need to be cheap and drunk, that is all.
Sexual would be good too though.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:07, archived)
We're thinking Poland at the moment.

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:12, archived)
:(

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:20, archived)
I dislike holidays normally though
but that's because I usually have to go with the family, not been on one for a few years because of this.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:22, archived)
How about Butlins in Skegness?

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:22, archived)
We wanna go abroad

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:31, archived)
Oh.

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:43, archived)
If you go to Poland the locals will beat you up and rob you blind
in Krakow, a lot of restaurants will not accept English people
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 19:54, archived)
Lazy historical

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:08, archived)
Is that because you are lazy and old?

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:35, archived)
Where did you go for?
My dream holiday at the moment is lying on a beach with a book I've chosen to read, a drink, some music and good company. And sex. I am so looking forward to graduating.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:09, archived)
Sounds good to me.
See above for where I'm going, whaddaya think?

Not in foreign but still nice, silly Az doesn't have a passport.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:11, archived)
Looks lovely. I am a dyed in the wool beach bum so coastal holidays are what it's all about.
We're going to Ibiza for a week of girly partying and I want to go away somewhere else too.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:13, archived)
Oooh ohh ohh.
I've just mentioned Heidegger in my essay.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:20, archived)
Cool... in what context?

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:29, archived)
All of the above.
I like water skiing on the beach on a lilo while taking in the historic buildings and receiving a blowjob.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:09, archived)
WINNAR

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:10, archived)
A bit of everything.
Not so keen on beaches, mind, as I can only get a Spen Valley tan.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:10, archived)
Climbing.
My girlfriend hates climbing holidays. This causes problems.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:10, archived)
she'll get over it

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:38, archived)
I like palm trees, white sand and crystal clear waters
anywhere except Blackpool
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:11, archived)
I fucking hate blackpool.

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:12, archived)
Nuke it from orbit.

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:14, archived)
This may change your mind.
news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/england/lancashire/8049362.stm
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:24, archived)
It's not
quite as ridiculous a notion as turning Barnsley into a Tuscan village, but it's going that way.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:26, archived)
That is fucking brilliant.
'otpot!

Oui!
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:48, archived)
So you'll be cancelling Cornwall and going to Blackpool then?

(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:50, archived)
I've been to an extraordinary black beach before.
Well, it seems extraordinary if you don't live anywhere near an active volcano.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:13, archived)
I like black beaches but the sand gets so hot.
The dead sea is the weirdest beach I've ever been to.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:14, archived)
All of the above.
I get bored if I laze about on the beach too much, but I like to relax too.

Cornwall or Cyprus for me. Yes.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:12, archived)
I've never been to cyprus.
I've been to greece though, it's lovely there.

Wicca.
I might need your help, I've been looking everywhere for a gorgeous 50s or 50s style sailor dress.

Perhaps something like this www.pinupgirlclothing.com/pinup-couture-sailor-swing-dress.html

But all the nice ones are in America, do you have any ace shopping secrets for lovely dresses here?
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:19, archived)
Have you tried..
www.vivienofholloway.com/ ?
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:21, archived)
Ooooh thank you.
They're lovely, no sailor ones that I can see but very very nice.

I quite like this one www.fairygothmother.co.uk/cf-anchor.htm but it's not quite the sailor look I'd like plus it's black for a summer wedding... I wish they made it in navy.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:29, archived)
I have gazzed you a couple of links...
including a VERY useful website.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:35, archived)
Thank you!
I've found the perfect dress now but they don't have it in my size :(

I've just emailed them to see if they're going to get more stock in before July which is when my brother's wedding is.

*fingers crossed*

Thanks again Wicca.
(, Thu 14 May 2009, 18:44, archived)

I need dresses for balls and graduation and leaving parties and the high street is leaving me cold.
