i looked at that one - and decided to go for the A203. I convinced the guy in Jessops to give it to me on the friends and family discount thing he had. *just pretend you know me - I'm mike by the way* etc. The A203 feels loads better (not as plasticy) - you should take a look at it but the A202 is ok too I spose.

you're right. The "long life" isn't actually very long. The 128mb card is much cheaper than sony's equivalent tho.

I get accused of spamming - I don't know how reliable that website is, but it's the best I've found for comparing different cameras.

And mighty impressed. found the cheapest place to get it was Amazon with a lovely £3 off voucher too. just bought a 128 mb card too which is about the same size as phones sim card and I was told that these are becoming popular as they are fast and small. Holds just over 200 photos.
Heres a scaled down picture that I took with it:

Or a bit bigger one:

I recently ordered this one but I know bollock all about cameras so couldn't say if it is good or bad... my Dad said it was Ok and that's good enough for me.

...they just look crap...I would buy a digital camera if it looked like an old fifties type one or if it had a leathery finish that would wear over time...silver and shiny = cheap looking crap

Seems like a good little starter camera. The only downside is that it only has digital zoom and (thanks to the way Fuji do their digital zoom) this means that you've got no zoom at all at 2 megapixels resolution and very limited zoom at 1 megapixel. At its lowest res (0.3Mp VGA) the zoom goes in quite a long way, but you don't buy a 2 megapixel camera to use it in 0.3 megapixel mode, do you?
If you're not that bothered about the zoom, then seriously consider it. Otherwise, you'll need to spend some extra pennies on something with a decent optical zoom lens (at least 3x, and preferably with the highest mm equivalent at maximum zoom - the good 3x optical ones go up to about 115mm.)
It's well worth looking around Steve's Digicams and DPReview.com before making a decision.
