# Image Challenge Vote
Here's this week's vote choice thing:

* Bowdlerisation: What would well-known movies/TV shows/album covers/song lyrics etc be like if Mary Whitehouse types always got their way?

* One-word challenge: Owls

* Strategies to be popular online

* To celebrate the arrival of The Sunday Sun, invent a tabloid news story

Here's the ballot box:

I dunno, it's a personal bugbear of mine, paying for fonts.
Every time I saw 'Download this font for $28.50!' I just kept shouting at the screen "They're letters. LETTERS!"
(, Wed 29 Feb 2012, 18:50, archived)
# but if you don't give the font industry representatives who don't pay font makers any money any money
how will the font makers be able to make fonts

# If you want to edit something online, all you have to do is go to the page you want, let it load, copy and paste this into your address bar.
javascript:document.body.contentEditable='true'; document.designMode='on'; void 0

Making sure you obliterate the orignal address, when pasted in hit go, and then you can just edit, type or resize what you want to, like the screen capture below ;-)

The site looks exactly the same once its done but you can select text and overtype it straight into the page

# Works for me in both IE and Firefox.
Just remember...
Let the page load completelty,
Remove everything from the address bar,
Paste what I posted into the address bar,
And finally remeber to press the (go to) button.

# Someone posted it here years and years ago ;-)
Can't for the life of me remember who, they said it only worked on the BBC site I think, But I'v not found a site it doesn't work on....

Another way to identify fonts, is to copy the section you want, and then paste it into word pad or photoshop (as a text layer) and it changes to to font being pasted, the downside of this method is that you have to have the font actually installed on your computer..

2. Owls: YES
3. Online popular: What does 'Online; mean?
4. Tabloid news: I think we do enough of this anyway!

So Owls it is! Can I start with these?

# Bowdler was a chap who took it upon himself to edit all the dirty bits from out of Shakespeare
For example, in Macbeth, he changed the line "What bloody man is that?" to "Who is this bleeding sergeant?", which ironically by today's standards would still be a mild swear. I was actually chuffed to get Bowdlerisation as a 14-letter clue in the cryptic crossword the other week \o/
