Nice pic, rare to be quite that closeI'll have a dozen, please - we do have a few hedgehogs but the nearby road removed a couple last year =(
I think here they only eat the crunchy little snails with houses, perhaps they could be taught to nom the slugs as well

Never seen him so smugly satisfied as when he's finally caught a long-time foe. There was the squirrel (only found the hind legs). The magpie(s). Every size rodent and irritating bird that dared intrude.
Once also a stare-down with a pheasant for an hour or so but I guess that one was a bit too large.

fuckers!!I use planks of wood with 5" nails as legs, with copper tubes around them, with the plants on them like a little table, to keep the slugs off
works a treat, you just have to clean the copper now and again :D
