But I want to watch it NOW dammit!
I might have some conversion software on here somewhere. I'll give that a go.

depends what the frame rate and audio rate was when they were ripped...
that's 'if' you're playing a downloaded .avi I had that trouble in trying to burn some .avi files to DVD with nero, the video and audio went out of sync, although in windows media player it played fine. In the end, I bought a divX dvd player for £30... and it did the trick... Then won another one via ZOO

I have no idea how to tell what the frame and audio rate are or were.
Yes it's a downloaded one.

Not yet
I was hoping to get it working OK in Media Player before wasting a DVD. I might try it anyway.

hmm, strange if it isn't in sync before burning,
sounds like a duff download maybe? - anything good?
May I recommend also getting 'the Host' great little Korean film I watched yesterday, really enjoyed it!

My copy should be on its way :)
It's only the pilot episode of Battlestar Galactica. Just annoying because I was halfway through watching it when it started going out of sync.

ahhh right, yes, I have quite a number of BG, but haven't got around to starting any of them yet...
/I don't usually 'do' subtitle movies, (for shame) but upon a freind's recommendation, got 'the host' and was really impressed, it works really well, hope you enjoy it.

Yeah
The Host sounds pretty cool. I'm looking forward to it.
I'll try converting the BG pilot for my PSP, see if that works. I don't particularly want to keep it, I'll probably buy it at some point, I just want to see the end of it now I've started watching it!!
