It's a little known fact that
every time you visit Canada, all the airline does is fly in circles for a bit, then lands just outside Portsmouth.
With the money they make on this scam they pay everyone in Portsmouth to speak with an American accent.
This explains why 'Canadian' accents sound so similar to 'American' accents, but not quite...
