# Snickers used to be called marathons.
Starburst are really opal fruits.
Herschey's chocolate used to be called 'what the fuck kind of chocolate do you call this? Has it gone off? Check the sell-by date on the bag, would you?'

# Good News..
Star Burst are to be Re-named Opal Fruits again..

I prefer the name starburst

# Me too!
Still, the nostalgic have spoken.

# I always like it when they create fake nostalgia for new products
Like they did for Caffreys
But anyway, let's face it, the name Opal Fruits is... well... limp and moist. Whereas Starburst is zingy and exciting. Given a choice, which one would you choose? It's the exact opposite of the Marathon/Snickers example - Marathon is a name that commands respect. Snickers sounds wimpy.

Sometimes there's no helping them

# Noooooooooooooooooo
I now live in California and you can hardly get any of this stuff out here. I'm in the land of plastic chocolate and plastic cheese.

I even have to buy Branston pickle and Daddies sauce on import!
(, Wed 23 Jul 2008, 12:11, archived)
# Don't get me started on plastic cheese!
We used to get really nice crumbly cheddar.
Real strong mature stuff, beautiful taste, great in sandwiches.

Now we get weak mild cheddar with the taste and consistency of rubber.
Ugh.
Fucking vile.

# I'd prefer one to be mild and rubbery, personally.
Crumbly and slightly crunchy mature women doesn't sound too nice.
Especially grated on pizza.

Though I suppose if you made your own pizza, you could save a fortune on the tomato puree.

multi fruit flavoured, like fruit polos but much, much tastier and fruitier.
