I disliked her for awhile, now I think she's pretty cool. I think you could say she's how punk really lives on.

It's her 'tude. Her music has a lot of rough edges that kind of make you want to puke.
She's just that kind of dirty, rough, stupid cool that I associate with 80's hardcore. She's very indie, but indie is just punk that copped out. If you slow down an indie record it sounds like a punk record, if you speed up a punk record it sounds like an indie record. You don't need to do shit to MIA's records.
She's to punk what Beefheart was to blues, a little bit.
