# How does Jason Statham still get work in Hollywood?
I really wish he'd drop the voice, obviosuly picked up in the 'Christian Bale needs a strepsil' School of voice coaching.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 9:59, archived)
# by having a bald head and talking in a stupid fake gruff voice
Its worse than Bale's batman voice!

(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 10:00, archived)
# :O super-pissage of the highest order there
Its so bad though. Bale was {this} close to ruining that film with that voice.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 10:02, archived)
# yup, I'm glad I'm not the only one who thought so :)
it was highly distracting in several places

# See the Dark Knight at an Imax screen
and you'll forgive almost anything.

Holy Satan in Hell, that was good.
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 10:05, archived)
# Indeed.
I ruined my throat on the way home from that film by talking in 'the voice' for the amusement* of my friends. Ordering a burger at the drive through was an interesting experience :S

*they may have got sick of it after 3 seconds.

# he's cheap?
and he doesn't mind flinging himself around... I saw Ghost of Mars the other day - he's in that too with Pam Grier and Ice Cube.

# Yes!!...Jackie Brown is an awesome film
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 10:03, archived)
# ooooh
that is controversial... I agree it's underrated. His new one will star Brad Pitt... also Machete isn't being made until sometime next year and it's probably going to go straight to DVD as a trilogy (or so I read).
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 10:04, archived)
# Vastly underrated

must go to Alone In The Dark, by the maestro himself, Mr. Uwe Boll.

In the Name of the King: A Dungeon Siege Tale -
Uwe Boll AND Jason Statham

# Cheers for the heads-up.
I must say, though - it wouldn't be high on my list of 'must-see' filums.

Now, on the positive side - I can highly recommend 'Traitor' with Guy Pearce & Don 'what accent did I have in the Oceans 11 franchise?' Cheadle. Good solid thriller.

... roxette?
(, Wed 3 Dec 2008, 10:24, archived)

Originally meant for a Bette Midler film, but ended up on Mario instead.

Ah, Samantha Mathis...
