I drew a Gorillaz (because the new album is so darn spiffy and their best) but can't be arsed to colour it at the moment

I didn't as a single, but in its place on the album its fucking marvellous
really well rounded album, Damon's work on the Monkey opera has helped his soundtracking no end

I agree with this

And yeah, the album is quite good - listened to it from the Guardian's site :

Oh man, you went over the lines
Gorgeous stuff
is the album actually any good then? I saw a tracklist and lots of "xxxxx (ft. xxxx)".
I try and avoid albums with open-bracket-feat-'name'-close-bracket track names.
edit: I am listening to it now. Hmm. 'trestin'.

I enjoyed it.
Also, for an ace "feat." album, see Kaos: Anti Acoustic Warfare by Adam F. Featured albums can be ace ;)

i'm about a quarter of the way through
and so far it's bad. and not a 80s slang bad is good way. boring hip hop over world music.
shame. i was crazy into gorillaz back in 2001

Personal preference I guess.
I must admit, there were only three or four songs I liked on their debut album.

i think the best album was the second one, great smooth, doom laden tracks. This one is very bitty.
and to be honest i haven't heard a song i like yet. (i'm at stylo now)

I preferred Demon Days to the debut also
More melodic for old fogies like me. Much like the newest one - lots of 80's vocoder action and rapping to make me feel like I'm young and hip again, rather than almost being 40 and bald.

Aye, it was their best.
This could well be their best given time though.

i love the 3d versions of the gorillaz in the new video
slightly iffy pacing in the video tho. lets pause on Bruce Willis for a loooooooooooooong time just so we all know it's him. smile for the camera bruce!

Wow, lovely stuff Toastie!
The Album is great - I would purchase it on iTunes, but due to their cuntish and frankly ridiculous policy of not allowing you to use your purchased music freely, I shall aquire it elsewhere.

Really?
Is this a new thing? The last music I bought from iTunes was in December 2009 and last night while restoring my iPod (AGAIN, YOU APPLE FUCKERS) I had to "authorise" my computer to play the music I had paid for. Cunts.

hmm, I dunno then
I read they'd stopped doing protected AAC (.m4p) in April last year and they just do .m4a now

They introduced "iTunes Plus",
which were more expensive, better quality, DRM-free tracks.
Most tracks are Plus now.
It's still not as good as, say, 7Digital, who often offer FLAC (lossless) and MP3/AAC, with the option to re-download tracks if you manage to lose them somehow.
