# hey rockrobin...
what do you use to capture the footy? (or any tv, for that matter) I'm thinking of putting a capture card in on of my machines. What do you reccommend? Is your via an aerial connnection? Satellite? Scart? What make? Hauppage?

Since downloading SO MANY films and videos from newsgroups such as alt.bin...multimedia, alt.bin...movies.divx, etc.. I thought I'd like to give some back.

btw: If anyone is bored of the UK bigbrother, and needs better entertainment, has a fast connection... go to alt.binaries.multimedai... someone has posted a load of (14mb per episode) caps of BB in Australia. Christ, they are funny!

I've come to Cambridge for a few days, and all there is on tv is fuckball, and royal stuff. I need to go out. What's the best pub in Cambridge?
(, Mon 3 Jun 2002, 12:08, archived)
# Have you tried...
The Fort St George (Midsummer Common)-nice pub on the river, The Green Dragon (near Stourbridge Common)- cool, summery pub also on the river. There's also The King Street Run (loud, good music) on King Street, The Radegund -eeny weeny pub also on King Street. Well, that's enough for now. Let me know how you get on with these and I'll try to think of some more pubs to recommend!
(, Mon 3 Jun 2002, 12:20, archived)
# i did go to the Green Dragon once..
But I was thrown out by some short-arse bald cunt who was working there whilst the manager was on holiday. To this day I still don't know why. It's a nice place, but I heard some other stories about that place during those 2 weeks. Don't think I'll be going there, but thanks for the advice. I'll try King Street.

You may also receive 404 Errors when trying to locate files on PWP servers.
This is because the UNIX servers are case sensitive.
The reason you can receive this error is because people have been naming files in a different case format (e.g. Test.html or TEST.html) letters and calling upon those files in a different case format with their browser.

Hmm that helps
