Everything seems bad if you remember it!
I was absoltuley fine after the March bash. It turns out if I don't drink as much I don't have such a bad hangover. Took me 32 years to realise that ;)

By George, we're onto something here!
( , Thu 28 May 2009, 12:50, Reply)
Sounds good.
What's the easiest way of getting there via public transport?
( , Fri 29 May 2009, 9:15, Reply)
It's one of the main routes.
Or are you coming from Macclesfield?
( , Sat 30 May 2009, 10:58, Reply)
then the 85 or 86 bus from Picadilly bus station. Get off at Chorlton bus station on Barlow Moor Road, then walk up Edge Lane.
Or phone me when you get there.
Or you can sleep in my shed the night after the bash and you'll be round the corner!

Also, would like to meet a few more of you!
( , Sat 30 May 2009, 11:51, Reply)
...might see if the other half is up for this one. If so, it'll be my B3TA event cherry ;)

But I'm dropping out :(
One of my best friends has moved her 21st from the Sat, and I'd have had no where to sleep anyway now I'm an ex student.
I'll cry myself to sleep that night though.

...as I can't make it either. Something's come up for Friday, and I can't put it off.
Ah well, popping my B3TA Bash cherry will have to wait. Until then, all ;)
( , Mon 6 Jul 2009, 9:33, Reply)
bash is THIS FRIDAY I need to know if anyone fancies going for a curry? I used to live in Manchester, and I believe that going to a pub on Oxford road WITHOUT going to the Spicy Hut on the curry mile would be a crime. Who's with me?

Who is doing what and when? How many people are up for the beer festival?
( , Mon 6 Jul 2009, 13:50, Reply)
I shan't be beer festivaling, I might be abseiling that Saturday (is that a good idea?)
( , Mon 6 Jul 2009, 14:33, Reply)
you might as well do it when you're attached to a rope.
I''ll go with the flow re curry- if everyone else fancies it then I'm sure I can force down a chicken tikka jalfrezi!
( , Tue 7 Jul 2009, 12:07, Reply)
I'm going to be getting to Manchester at about 6, then head straight to the Salisbury, so we can have a bit more room this time *fingers crossed*
I know more than half the group coming, so people will more than likely just need to keep an eye out for me!
( , Mon 6 Jul 2009, 16:50, Reply)
I'll give you a ring when I'm on my way.
( , Tue 7 Jul 2009, 12:08, Reply)
as a "cockroach restaurant". it would explain away the infestation in one smooth move
getting to the salisbury about 7.45, after my train gets in, or earlier if employing the monty's lady's taxi method. but maybe i'll come in an hour earlier if people are already there
curries: i do develop a strong urge for takeaway over the course of an evening's refreshment. but as you're kindly housing me t0ria, i'll go along with what you're doing. what time you heading out to the beer festival saturday? just whenever seems right?
( , Mon 6 Jul 2009, 20:11, Reply)
Are you staying at mine on the Saturday night as well? I've got some mates from Macclesfield coming for the beer festival who are staying over too, they might be able to give you a lift back on Sunday?
( , Tue 7 Jul 2009, 12:08, Reply)
But if I come I will be keeping him company on the train getting there, playing with matches and scaring old laydees.
( , Tue 7 Jul 2009, 13:39, Reply)
We'll see how things go, Mrs P won't be coming, and I'll training it up if I come.
Mrs P's told me I'm under orders to go, but if things get bad for the fluffball I may have to pass at short notice :(
( , Tue 7 Jul 2009, 15:13, Reply)
probably a bit out of the way for your macclesfield friends, so i'll get train back, or take up monty's generous offer if he's there
mr p: it's a different route from yours to manchester, though. were you going to get it from my local station? if so, i finish work at 4 on friday, so i could come down to town-where-you-live and give you a lift to town-where-i-live for the train if you want. are you aiming for my initial suggestion, or an hour earlier?
( , Tue 7 Jul 2009, 17:50, Reply)
But I'll let you know thurs evening if I can make it. Check your gaz on here :)

Myself and c3lia will be going for a curry in the Spicy Hut at 6pm, which still gives plenty of time for bashing. Message me if you would like to join us!
( , Wed 8 Jul 2009, 13:24, Reply)
I finish work at 5pm and have to got get home and change and get abck into town again. 7pm is about the earliest I can make it.
Otherwise I'd have to go in my suit.
( , Wed 8 Jul 2009, 15:01, Reply)
if i went straight from work for the train.
but i probably won't. i'd rather go home and lounge around a bit first
i'd prefer to do currying (if any) post pub
( , Wed 8 Jul 2009, 15:12, Reply)
I'm not sure if I'm going to be currying, but doing it pre-pub is madness.
MADNESS!

Look out for the group of people who seem to have no sort of connection with each other- we're all different ages and types.
If you're definitely coming gaz me and I'll give you my number and when you get there you can ring me!
( , Wed 8 Jul 2009, 22:07, Reply)
T0ria is being brave, normally it's my number that gets given out!
Hang on...you're going to do that aren't you?
( , Thu 9 Jul 2009, 10:15, Reply)
I'll tell him to look out for a short blonde girl. It'll confuse the hell out of him when you turn up!
( , Thu 9 Jul 2009, 11:05, Reply)
and the last train back from Manchester is at 11:20, which is why we can't do post pub curry :(
But like I say, all the curry places we've been to in Liverpool have been crap (booths anyone?) so I NEED a decent lamb tikka from the Spicy Hut! With Malta sauce, mmmmm...
( , Wed 8 Jul 2009, 22:45, Reply)
that you can't get a train between manchester and liverpool after half eleven at night?
anyone would think we lived in the dark ages...
( , Wed 8 Jul 2009, 23:38, Reply)
Still, at least the pub is the closest one to Oxford Road station, so we won't miss too much drinking time!
( , Thu 9 Jul 2009, 14:13, Reply)
Hope that Agnostic Antichrist DOESN'T come, though.
I hear he's a right scumbag.
