see www.b3ta.com/board/8130909 for an example, for some reason I cannot ignore them from my Gaz, it just gives me a 404 error, it's suggested this is because they have entered zero posts?

Is there any way the board could stretch to fit what you type? It seems pretty unfriendly as it is.

Limit the amount of text you can put into a /talk post, because this sort of shit isn't funny. www.b3ta.com/talk/4538412

I know back in the dim and distant past and the hallowed beginnings of b3ta there was a radio show. Well now in this age of downloading podcasts in order to listen to stuff on our iPods and MP3 players is there any chance of having a podcast of some of the stuff featured on the site?
A bit like the newsletter I suppose....And Legless does have that site where people can record their stuff...so....
I'd really like to be able to hear some of the Best of in the QOTW being read out - rather like Radio 4...sort of....

If you are on the popular page of /board or /links would it be possible to have a thingy to jump to that post on the board so you can see all the replies?
( , Sat 23 Feb 2008, 12:00, 2 replies, latest was 17 years ago)

Would it be possible to have a "display all on one page" option on QOTW since they are just text. Would make it easier for finding stuff.

A cut down version of /board and /talk, that only showed the five or so most recent threads. And didn't try and stretch the page at all. And stuff like that. /Talk is usually far too big to fit even into my smartphone browser, which is irritating if I want to lurk on the way home or something.

The icon next to the title line for competition entries has a little "C" in it. Would it be possible to have a little "R" to indicate reposts?
It's a very small thing, but... but... but...

I'll post this here in the vain attempt that someone may act on it....
How about being able to vote just how WANK this week's QOTW is? Then if there is enough common sense we can have something funny interesting and worth reading instead.
CLICK HERE if you think this QOTW blows chunks.

maybe a checkbox when posting that says this is NSFW and an option to view the sfw board or maybe even a whole sfw site on sfw.b3ta.com?

Would be grand to put an RSS feed on your personal site, pointing to the posts on the board that you clicked 'I like this' for..

Probably been mentioned before but here it is again. It's be cool to be able to lookup all "Smug guy" images or "Quo" etc

Could there be a feature where Legless' life is documented by building it up from QOTW posts to make it into a legendary chronological saga?
( , Fri 1 Feb 2008, 11:39, 2 replies, latest was 17 years ago)

How about a ticker tape running across the top of /talk, with details of all the news stories that have been posted about in the last 6 hours, to possibly put an end to the rushes of "JEREMY BEADLE'S DEAD!ROFLOLZOMG!!!ONEONETWELVE" threads.

Sometimes I have a long story to write and only get part way through it and have to leave/return to work/go to sleep etc. I would like to be able to save it as a draft before posting to the QOTW.
I did read this, but I'd like something internal so I don't have to pissfart around with other programs/sites. I find doing drafts in other programs drains the spontaniety somewhat with all the cutting and pasting and the wha-hey!

How about (to aid searching with the new search feature) when posting an image on /board you're asked to type in at least one or two "keywords" which describe it.
That way if a pic gets posted with no description in the subject bar or main post it's still possible to find it using search.

for friends activity and/or message inbox. Or a joint feed that serves them both? That'd be really usefull. Or better yet a joint one that included
both those and new FP notifications. That'd be ace!

What about using those "one-word challenges" not only photoshop challenges but also on the question of the week? I think some interesting stories will come out if the question posed is not so specific...

Having now gleaned what goes on on this site, how about adding lovers or past conquests.

naked pictures of posters - provided they are alluring. I am not.

How about, in the same manner as ignoring people, the option to block people from replying to you, so that if someone is being particularly rubbish/offensive/abusive, the entire internet doesn't have to suffer them.

Personally I love cooking. My wife loves it just as much.
Hell, google my userame and one of my wifes reipies comes to #2.
This could be structured quite easily.
If you mod types want more... feel free to gaz.
I am more than willing to weed out the nonsense recipies if necessary.
Actually, please let me weed them out.
Sincerely,
SPN

I don't know if this has been suggested but here goes:
When setting up an event in the calendar, maybe include an option to send invites to individual b3tans, so they're aware of the event and can accept or reject the invite. Maybe link it to the Friend's thing so you can send a mass invite to everyone you have befriended or those who have add you as a friend.

Clearly there are alot of people who dislike some compos, but none more so than this weeks (I apologise for nothing).
However, what say on the day before a challenge is set, the top 3 get put into a poll and voting goes on in that thread to a)give us an idea of what is to come and b) show, conclusively, which challenge has won rather than sparking off arguments.

it appears in your profile as a seperate entry. So when your reading through someones previous stories, as well as having to sift through the piles of shite they've written in the past due to it not being in popularity order (a good point well made Enzyme), you also have to go through messages that aren't even QotW answers.
( , Thu 10 Jan 2008, 1:52, Reply)

People's QotW answers are shown on their profile in order of popularity, but if you click "more", you get them in reverse chronological order. Would it be asking too much for them always to be shown in order of popularity, or to be able to choose which format you prefer? I'm interested in people's answers - not their two-word replies to others' replies to a third's story...

Courier is difficult to read on a screen, and increasing the text size causes all the typesetting to totally mess up. Maybe have the web version of the newsletter in the same font as the rest of the site.

but I'd quite like to see a once monthly video/animation competition along the same lines as the Image Challenge
