B3TA fixes the world
Moon Monkey says: Turn into Jeremy Clarkson for a moment, and tell us about the things that are so obviously wrong with the world, and how they should be fixed. Extra points for ludicrous over-simplification, blatant mis-representation, and humourous knob-gags.

Leave
the felkin' clocks alone in the winter. That way, we might just get an hour's light in when we get home after October.

Absolutely.
It was a sad (pun intended) day when I learnt Scotland had vetoed the planned change to the +1hr in winter. Though the MP who claimed it was because 'England had won a geographicall lottery' managed to brighten my mood, if only briefly.

and another thing.
the clocks go back 2 months before the solstice. But not return to their rightful time (I know) until 3 months after. Who's great idea was that!?

I agree also!
I swear I stay an hour out of sync for a few weeks after the clocks change.

A few years ago I tried to stick to BST for as long as possible
It was mostly successful but I eventually gave up.

Why not
leave them on GMT all year round instead? After all, the idea of a world time standard was started here, and Greenwich was chosen as the baseline, so it would be a bit silly if we were out of sync.
And if you need more light at night, get up earlier. That's all that the fannying around with the clocks does anyway.

I'm with this.
Which is unusual because i'm not normally very sentimental.

Getting up earlier is fine as long as what you're getting up for does require a set time.
also GMT is a strange a concept to get nationalistic about.

Haven't Russia stopped all this?
Something to do with the cows being milked I recall...
I know my cat gets confused as to why he's not getting fed at what he thinks is dinnertime.
