Best album and best song of 2011.
Alt: how is it only 2:45?
Altalt: Celebrity Christmas death match 2011, who would you put in teh ring and why?

Given that I remember that the first CD I ever played on a stereo bought with my own money was 'A Salt With A Deadly Peppa', the first song I ever listened to on my first iPod was Sam Cooke's 'Jesus Gave Me Water', The first VHS I ever rented for myself was 'BMX Bandits' and the first DVD I ever watched was 'Groundhog Day', it seems likely that the first book I ever read on a Kindle I will remember for the rest of my life. That's a lot of pressure, so what should I get?
Alt: I just ate a McDonald's Mince Meat and Custard Hot Pie. What do you regret ever doing?
AltAlt: The Lake District was unbelievably beautiful with the snow last weekend, I wish I was spending Christmas there. In an ideal world where would you spend Christmas?

Offices.
Man I fucking love them, love talking about them, love reading about them, love thinking about them.
My favourite TV show is The Office. What's your favourite office based thing?

1. New Terms of reference for the Service Managers Meeting
2. Is there any point in having a Service Managers Meeting?
3. Date of next meeting
Apparently there are office politics going on with the new meeting chairperson setting item 1 and the "deposed" chairperson setting item 2.
Seen any adults acting like kids lately?
Alt: any office gossip?

Until recently I had never been to a 'football match'. What is there that everyone but you seems to have seen/done/whatever - excluding that most hilarious of replies, 'MY MUM'. At my age I don't think I could cope with that level of humour, and might die.
Alt: best 'Carry On' film? 'Khyber', 'Camping' or 'Don't Lose Your Head', I'd say. The LOLarious antics of 'The Black Fingernail' have me in fits every time. I'm so 'into film' that I have had a half-formed idea for an essay on 'the 'Carry On' films as British social barometer' for many years now. I really am that dull.
Alt alt: perhaps you hate the 'Carry On' films. Why is this? Are you bent or something? Do the adventures of 'Dr Tinkle' and his pals hold no mirth for you?

Not. Bored. Not entirely sober.
Anyone got anything better to offer?

I have eaten three turkeys dinners in the last four days, but it's okay because I like turkey.
What have you overindulged in recently? Is there anything you've done that you you don't consider an overindulgence but other people might?
alternatively: North Korea, is this a chance for a new relationship with the outside world or are we one step closer to a nuclear war?

I really don't like them on the whole, but nothing else would do.
Ever eat weird shit? Do you have a guilty food secret that is really disgusting but you don't care? I have the occasional liking for corned beef.

about when he used to have family Christmases, 'being a Jewish family, Christmas is really important to us'. Now I'm no expert theologian but there seems to be something that's not quite right about that.
Tell the class about an example of jaw-dropping ignorance and stupidity you have recently encountered.
OR recount your weekend's adventures. I genuinely made fudge and chutney. I listened to Radio 4. Then I drank half a bottle of rum, a bottle of wine and a handful of beers and crashed into bed at about 8pm.
*he is rapidly becoming one of the most irritating people in the media to me

How is your weekend going?
Today I am taking my wife for lunch to a local Italian restuarant to celebrate it being a year to the day since I proposed and six months to the day since we got married.
Then this evening I am going to see The Levellers at Brixton Academy.
Alt: Tea or coffee?

No offence Horsey, I was enjoying that game until Quentin.
Apparently I'm going ice skating on Sunday. What part of my body will I hurt, how badly, and will it heal in time for me to be able to dance in Blackpool on January 7th? Prizes for the winner. May just be a pint. Judge's decision is final etc.
Alt: To my eternal shame I thoroughly enjoyed a book aimed squarely at the Twilight demographic, called The Hunger Games. There's a film out soon. What FILM events are you looking forward to in the next year?
AltAlt: Who's going to win SCD tomorrow? I actually don't care. What has become of me?!

How are you this fine (!) day?
There's some soggy snow coming down but it won't settle. Why is it that whenever it's wet or snowy I find myself in sneakers with fucking great holes in?

I'm about to have a full roast turkey dinner with my family as I won't see them on Christmas Day or anytime after that until next year.
Tomorrow I'm having roast turkey for lunch at my office "party" and then on Sunday I'm having roast turkey for lunch with my "london friends".
I like turkey. I'm also installing photshop on my laptop.
What do you like and what are you doing?
