Evening Otters Assemble
I'm still in the office, looks like I will for a while yet.

Doing some copy and paste programming as nobody understands this bit of the system so we just copy stuff that worked before and cross our fingers.

I went to a work bash last night with my assistant lad. Who is 26.
This morning he is getting e-mails from all the nice young women that we both spoke to and I am getting stalky e-mails from a 50 year old woman whom I didn't give my details to. What the fuck?

Alt: WTF?

Altalt: Say whaaaaat?

I'm always a bit slow (!) with technology and that but am finally getting a slow cooker.
First thing to attempt is pulled pork. Im also considering doing Roast Beef in it on Christmas Day. Anyone tried this?

Share your slow cooking delights.

alt. Have you been shafted by the recent Energy price rise, or is it all a load of media bollocks? My DD is exactly the same. I also got out of the Virgin Media price rises by threatening to leave.
Share your recent wins against the big Corporations.

One for the football fans on here, what are your favourite home and away kits that your team has worn?
I support Leeds, and this is my favourite home kit:

www.leedsshirts.co.uk/siteimages/2000-01%20-%20Kelly%20home%20shirt%201.JPG

Great memories of that kit as it was worn the season we got to the Champion's League semi-final, but also because you just can't beat plain, retro style kits.

As for my favoure away kit, this one has yet to be beaten:

Alright remaining OffTopicers? 273/5 YESSS!!!!!!!!
I saw a gentleman cycling on a bicycle wearing a proper motorbike style crash helmet. He looked like a knob. Yesterday I saw someone wearing those Marshall headphones that are square in shape, presumably designed to look a bit like an amplifier. He looked like a knob. What do people wear that you think makes them look like a knob?
Alt: Anything you like, it's not like anyone answers the flucken questions anymore.
Altalt: Please provide your address, DOB, and bank account details along with any other useful or salient information.

Any reason to not go to the pub for a couple of hours?
I'm trying to think of a reason to stay in, but the pub sells food and drink.

Alt: You'll end up talking shite anyway, so you might as well start now.

Pet woes.
My cat brought a mouse into my flat last night. It was all stunned and dying. I had to scoop it up into a box and throw it out the window, cat in tow.
I was thinking how cruel cats were when I woke this morning. Looked out my window and the mouse was still there, uneaten, frozen to death.
I now think my cat has compassion.

What pets do you have, fellow B3tans and how compassionate are they?

Alt. Who is the best/worst on here?
I'm fond of most of you. A couple try too hard to be cunts.

Altalt. Hump day lunch tales.

Or, you know, chat among yourselves. We're all adults. Anything on your mind?

Roughest areas of your town/city/commune?
I'm from Leeds and the following are no-go at the best of times:

Gipton
Halton Moor
Holbeck
Seacroft
Belle Isle
Beeston
Middleton
Harehills
Armley
Chapeltown
Little London
Burmantofts
Hawksworth (or, 't'Hawkeh', as the locals call it)
East End Park

Bramley has some pretty gnarly parts as well, especially the part close to Kirkstall. My ex lived round that part, not pleasant.

Also some areas with good reputations have some rough estates. Such as Cookridge, Farnley, Yeadon, Moortown, West Park, Wortley, Crossgates and Pudsey.

Jury's out for me but none of the current party leaders seem plausible.

alt. Cover versions of songs that surpass the original?
I'm going to say Placebo's Running Up That Hill.

altalt. LUNCH!!!!!! I have Bavarian ham and cheese with fresh pepper sandwich noms.

Spoilsports. To be fair, it's one of those things where you wonder
a) what sort of parents are out there that this law is required
b) why it was ever legal.

What else is legal but shouldn't be?

Alt: What's illegal but shouldn't be?

AltAlt: What would you have done (to you or your kid or another b3tans kid)
