Right, you fucking nommy wankers.
I am so utterly bored, that I am genuinely interested in what form of pathetic gruel you will be dribbling all over your carer in the guise of lunch.

SO BORED am I, even, that I would like to know your weekend plans.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:13, 107 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Chilli con carne and a jacket potato
Far superior to chilli and rice.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:14, Reply)
Correct. Best also topped with cheese and finished off under the grill.

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:17, Reply)
If I had cheese, it would definitely be on this food.
The lack of grill sadly makes that part difficult though.

I'm open to suggestions
Due to an excess of greed last night I ate everything I cooked and have no packed lunch. I am therefore going in search of foods following my podiatrist's appointment. Ideas please.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:15, Reply)
Eat a dick.

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:18, Reply)
I was really looking for something easily purchasable from a high street vendor
I'll be pushed for time after my appointment and the red light district is quite a hike from here
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:20, Reply)
Get one delivered, it worked for Armin Miewes.

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:23, Reply)
Haha
I had chips and onion rings last night, and I just had a bacon sandwich so I doubt I'll eat again until tomorrow
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:15, Reply)
I'm going out for a curry this evening
And then I'm going to watch a game of association football on Saturday, and going to the pub Saturday night.

What are you doing this weekend?
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:16, Reply)
Quiet night in tonight watching reggae on the tee-vee.
Tomorrow afternoon Lusty has a surprise for me (I'm being dumped).

Tomorrow night possibly seeing my daughter, Sunday am DEFINITELY seeing my daughter.

Sunday afternoon/evening, no idea, few cheeky pints perhaps.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:26, Reply)
Lusty has probably got that Jimmi Hendrix costume for the role play I suggested to spice up your sex life.

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:37, Reply)
That would make Monty a LARPer!

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:37, Reply)
For the authentic experience
It'll require them to both throw up in their sleep and then die.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:43, Reply)
I imagine Monty already has countermeasures in place to prevent that
it being a fairly common occurrence.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 13:13, Reply)
Oh FFS.
Now I'm going to have to wait until Monday to dump you as if I do it tomorrow it'll ruin it :(
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 13:05, Reply)
Dump him now online.
That'll be a suprise.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 13:22, Reply)
I'm desperatly going to be ringing round aquatances to see if they want to come on holiday with me
and then I'm going to cook a roast on sunday.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:18, Reply)
and yes when I don't know how to spell a word I just guess
you all know what I meant so fuck off.

Nice intercept there

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:21, Reply)

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:52, Reply)
Chips in curry sauce and a diet coke from the Chinese takeaway next door.
Tomorrow I'm walking nine miles to my friend's house for their son's second birthday party. Jelly, cake and Hotwheels cars, my perfect Saturday afternoon. Tomorrow evening I'm going out for a pint and staying at my mate's as kiddo's having a birthday sleepover and I don't particularly want to share the flat with six squealy fourteen-year old girls. Doing a Craig David on Sunday.
Edit: wrong! I've got leftover spicy Chinese chicken noodles from last night, awesome and free!
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:23, Reply)
Banana slimfast.
After last weekend's extravaganze I'm keeping this weekend low key. I will however be planning my outfit for the gig on Thursday. I'll dig out my black biker jacket and practise scowling.

There are exceptions to this rule and I admit that, but most guys say Oooh I love to see a women tucking into her grub.

In all seriousness, if anyone doesn't love someone just because of them being fat, they deserve to spend the rest of their lives chasing and failing models and resign themselves to self gratification.

going out for lunch
the menu is amazing but i usually end up having the roasted mushroom, pepper and courgette, goats cheese and pesto toasted sandwich and skin-on fries because nothing else compares. lucky i'm not also going out for dinner, eh.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:24, Reply)
If you're not going out tonight, and I'm not going out tonight, maybe we could both go out tonight at the same place at the same time?
Cocktails and a good meal?

Amazingly
I have managed to coerce some friends in to going out tonight, which will be the first time I've been out since before christmas, excepting Tayyabs. The rest of the weekend will involve mainly cleaning and SLEEP.
I have a burrito and some cake for lunch.

Yes, I do vaguely remember what it's like to have a social life, and I miss it
*stares mournfully in to the distance* still, this weekend and next are going to be awesome, even if they do make me very very poor.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:52, Reply)
My night out last night was quite cheap actually
free wine before we went out, then £20 each on cocktails, two double G&Ts at the Union cost about seven pounds. Then I lost my wallet and a racist paid for my club entry. I'm going to be so sad when I leave Oxford.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:56, Reply)
Just had a Morrisons sushi 'snack pack' 126 calories all in
I'm out tonight for a mate's birthday, then on Saturday I have a few mates over in the evening. Sunday I'm seeing the folks, and if the weather's clement I'll cycle over.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:32, Reply)
Supermarket sushi is fucking pointless.

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:55, Reply)
But great seats aren't
It was in the coffee lounge downstairs, and none of the sandwiches looked appealing today. Wasabi made it palatable.

Jacket spud with beans and cheese
because it will be my last attempt all weekend to avoid indulgence and debauchery.
Then I will put on 5lb and cry.

Mini Bento Box (rice/some red veg thing I donno what it is, maybe a pickle/prawn katsu/chicken ball/salmon/edanami beans], 6 dumpings and a caramel frapachino
I fucking love Farringdon so much.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:35, Reply)
I cannot bloody wait for the London bash and to have sushi with you.
I've never had the proper stuff.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:38, Reply)
Deffo ! I'm afraid the super-amazing sushi place near me at home has shut down, but I'll find a new posh one in time =D
There is a really posh one near me at work that I want to try at some point, it's very expesnive though, looks about £40-50 a head, but maybe just after payday. It's in the machline guide, donno about stars though, so it must be at _least_ good. They do japanesse theater too.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:43, Reply)
It doesn't have to be posh Gonz, as long as the food is good.

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:45, Reply)
A lady after my own heart.
The best one that is still open is a take-away cafe, the food is very good for an every-few-days thing, but I'll find a place that makes it to order so everything is always at it's best.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:48, Reply)
Have you ever tried Cafe Japan in Golders Green?
I haven't been there for a while, but it's usually packed out with Japanese folks, the food's great, and it's nowhere near as pricey as it should be. I need to get back there very very soon indeed ...
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:47, Reply)
I never go into Golder's Green, only through it. But you're not the first person to say that their oriental resturants are amazing.
I'll take a peek and see, might see if anyone is up for a test run.
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 12:51, Reply)
I'd be there like a shot.
The miso-marinated grilled black cod is superb and half the price you'd pay in town. It's usually quite a struggle to keep bits of food from falling out from the sides of my trap, I'm grinning that much ...

Arigato gozaimashiTAAAAAAA!

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 13:05, Reply)
I totally love Katsu, the one at Yo! is good, but far from best. Next time you're in the neighbourhood, I'll katsu something up for you.
Or if you go to a big supermarket, you can buy "Panko Breadcrumbs" from their japanese section, that's the stuff they use, just cover whatever it is you want to katsu with flour-egg-panko-egg-panko and fry it (don't have to use a deep fat fryer, a normal shallow fry still works, it just needs to be turned).

I am a sucker for weird flavours.

Since I had a Sausage, Black Pudding and Egg bap at 10am I probably won't be eating it for a while yet.

This weekend I shall be attending a kickabout in West Bromwich, then a few drinks with mates, Sunday will be gym and catching up on the week's TV. Rock'n'Roll!

I am having a 'bad food' day.
I had a bacon sandwich this morning, some crackers w/hummus mid-morning, bizarrely I have just nommed a tray of pommes dauphinoise and I'm still hungry so I might get something else in too.

Tonight I think I shall make myself a Thai green curry with king prawns. I shall drink a bottle of Chablis with it, and then watch reggae whilst entertaining myself in a manner befitting the subject matter.

I treated myself to some poncey yums from M&S following a depressing conversation with a Podiatrist
Podiatrist lady: "The pain in the ball of your foot is caused by osteo-arthritis. It's not uncommon and there are ways to treat it."

Me: "OK, can you recommend anything to lessen the day-to-day pain?"

PL: "That depends on what you're doing day-to-day. What are your hobbies?"

Me: "Ballroom Dancing and running are the two most problematic ones."

PL: "Right... I think you should give up the dancing for a little while."

Me: "Keep thinking..."

But now I have lamb koftas, a smoothie and GIRLS ALOUD, so what do I care
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 13:30, Reply)
Give up running instead and go cycling?

(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 13:33, Reply)
I think I will have to knock the running on the head
Which is annoying, because that treadmill wasn't cheap. The problem with cycling is that I own neither an exercise nor regular bike, and my innate lack of balance makes me a danger to myself and others
(, Fri 11 Feb 2011, 13:35, Reply)
I'm sure you will be able to recoup a fair amount if you flog it
and exercise/actual bikes are pretty cheap.

I'll look into it
Thanks for the suggestion :-)

W/end will be cooking and drinking. Monty's green curry and Chablis sounds like a copyable plan tonight.
