Do you have to be anethesethised for that?

I don't know
but I would have thought that would be a bit of a cop out.

If I did that, Blousie would fit a super magnetic coil.

Sorry Lighty, but she sounds like a retard.
Does she teach for a living?
(, Sat 26 Feb 2011, 23:26, Reply)
Good Lord, I hope not
All her photos seem to suggest she works in a tanning salon

Or she sells Tango.
(, Sat 26 Feb 2011, 23:27, Reply)
How can you consider e-mailing someone who doesn't know the difference between the words
'been' and 'bin'?
(, Sat 26 Feb 2011, 23:29, Reply)
That is understandable
the difference between "share" and "shear" is a bit harder to swallow.
(, Sat 26 Feb 2011, 23:32, Reply)
I suggest you e-mail her and tell her than her profile is her one chance to make a first impression
And that OT thinks she sounds like a moron.

You'll be doing her a favour.
(, Sat 26 Feb 2011, 23:35, Reply)
no no no
upload the profile to failblog, then take a screenshot of the page THEN e-mail her that

Is this the point when you reluctantly tell us you've been mailing her for months?

(, Sat 26 Feb 2011, 23:39, Reply)
Christ no
that type of English is instant rejection. It was the shear sheer quantity of crapness that made me want to bring it to your attention.

What site did you find her on?

Surely Lorraine should be on OKStupid?

(, Sun 27 Feb 2011, 0:03, Reply)
I was thinking of emailing her this:
Well, I don't really know what to put here, so here goes! Hi, I'm Lorraine from Nottingham. I'm a laid-back kind of woman and I've been on my own now for about 5 years. I've started to think that life is too short, so it's time to get back out there and meet some one to share it with.

I love nights out, trips to the cinema, and going out for a meal - or just stopping in, cuddled up on the sofa with a bottle of wine and a good film. All the usual stuff, really - I just miss walking down the street holding someone's hand, getting the butterflies and feeling so happy...

I might be tempted to use that myself in the future, probably with reference to the orange totty with vacant heads that frequent my local dives. Nice one geezer.

I've been working very hard today.
I made a square panel of stained glass recently out of scraps that I had kicking around, and have mounted it on four pieces of opalescent glass to form a shallow box.

Today I made a square shape out of scrap copper sheet that I had, drilled appropriate holes in it, mounted it on the bottom of the box as a bezel, and have taken a 16" wide board and made a square base to mount it all on. I have drilled and routered appropriately to mount a puck-type compact fluorescent fixture inside and made it so that it can either be hung on a wall or put on a flat surface. It's not done, but there will be pics tomorrow of it when it is.

And now it's time for food and beer.
(, Sun 27 Feb 2011, 0:17, Reply)
What do you do with your stained glass creations?

(, Sun 27 Feb 2011, 0:20, Reply)
I've been trying to sell them.
Some are on display here, while others are on display here. Crossroads has successfully sold quite a few of my things, but I'm hoping that These Four Walls will start kicking in too as they have a higher level of traffic.

With any luck I'll get a bit more publicity soon- a neighbor who writes for a posh living magazine said that she'd submit an article on me to her editor, as they do ones on craftsmen periodically.
(, Sun 27 Feb 2011, 0:26, Reply)
Good luck with that!
Is it quite a lucrative hobby?
(, Sun 27 Feb 2011, 0:30, Reply)
Not really.
If I break it down to an hourly wage, I'm not making more than about $5/hour. But if I consider that otherwise I'm sitting around making $0/hour, it gets a bit more appealing...
(, Sun 27 Feb 2011, 0:35, Reply)
Fuck yeah
you're one of my favorites on here, saw some of your photos a while back, good shit, get on that beer yo, it's saturday evening (for you, for me it's now Sunday morning rather unsettlingly).
(, Sun 27 Feb 2011, 0:23, Reply)
Thank you!
I've been working very hard to refine my techniques and to think outside of the normal approaches to glass and come up with original things. And that's harder than one would think...
(, Sun 27 Feb 2011, 0:29, Reply)
