Well I've been out and about this afternoon
And I'm going to start roasting some lamb shortly.

What have you achieved today?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:38, 93 replies, latest was 15 years ago)
Not much
But I'm off out in a minute to celebrate my 21st, so there might be more to say in 24 hours time...
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:40, Reply)
Happy Birthday!

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:56, Reply)
Happy Birthday
I hope you do something that makes the hangover worth while.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 22:18, Reply)
Oh fuck, I had a deadline of an hour ago that I was supposed to work all weekend working towards doing it and I haven't done any.
Shit.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:42, Reply)
Gonz, you need to tidy up.
Badger will be home soon.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:07, Reply)
oh lol, already done !

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:15, Reply)
..... mostly.
HOW WAS THE TART THING?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:16, Reply)
The missus and everyone else said it was fucking amazing.
I haven't had any yet on account of having to be in the right mood to indulge in that sort of thing. Perhaps later this evening.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:18, Reply)
Scratch that; I've just had some
and can report that it is pretty damned good.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:23, Reply)
Awsome =DDD
I wrote up the recipie if you ever want to recreate it ! www.coll3ctive.co.uk/food/recipes/paulypops/custardy-lemon-tarts-with-a-couple-of-different-bases/

I'm wondering what to do next, I made the most awesome pasta dish last night that I'm recreating tonight when Badges gets home (if she fancies it), but I want to find a new sweet dish. I might make chilli brownies.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:30, Reply)
Ah cool, thanks.
I'll let the missus know!
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:40, Reply)
She will be so fucking pleased.
You don't want to know what she said she was going to do with you if you hadn't tidied up!
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:17, Reply)
Haha, I'm always paranoid about it, but I do try !

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:27, Reply)
I think it involved a pug and a cheesegrater...

Sod all
I was in a great mood and now I'm not.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:54, Reply)
Where did you go?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:56, Reply)
Ledbury/Malvern
didn't have enough petrol to get to Cheltenham and home again, and couldn't really afford/justify more.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:57, Reply)
So why are you in a not-great-mood?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:58, Reply)
Because you've just posted?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:00, Reply)
You can do better than that, surely DG?
As abuse goes, that is really quite lazy.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:03, Reply)
I've had a long, if fun, weekend Jeff.
I can barely be arsed to type on here.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:05, Reply)
Why not have a nice beer and a bit of a sit down?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:09, Reply)
I have a glass of wine as we speak.
Because, you know, I haven't had enough this weekend.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:11, Reply)
Oh just stuff
people and things, you know.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:03, Reply)
*There there*

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:08, Reply)
I've waved goodbye to some b3tans.
And been for a nice walk with the dog. I'm now looking at the mess in the kitchen and living room and thinking, "Nah, fuck it until tomorrow".
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:55, Reply)
Have fun this weekend?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:56, Reply)
Utterly fucking brilliant, thanks.
I have an abiding memory of, when everyone was in the living room and going to sleep of repeatedly walking in and deadpanning "I just wanted to say good luck; we're all counting on you" several times and being in fits of giggles.

I was a bit drunk.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:58, Reply)
So a good time was enjoyed by all?
Anyone drink too much and make a fool of themself?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:08, Reply)
Yes and no.
Unless you count Wookie wearing a child's monkey hat at Alnwick Garden as making a fool of yourself.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:10, Reply)
Tackled the clothes mountain in the spare room.
Found the floor near the window. Am hopeful of reaching the wardrobe by nightfall. Got stuck for a while on a difficult traverse of the futon. Had a pleasant lunch on an outcrop of baby vests near the window. Need to navigate a landslide of dirty laundry near the door in order to cook dinner (pie).
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 17:59, Reply)
What kind of pie?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:00, Reply)
Leftover pie, best of all the pies.
Take all the roast dinner leftovers, mix them up in gravy, stick in a pie dish surrounded by puff pastry. Bake. Eat.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:01, Reply)
That sounds rather nice.
I tend to cheat and buy Aldi's own chicken or steak family pies. They are, it has to be said, rather good and absolutely chock full of meat; there's no air at all.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:04, Reply)
Aldi's the wrong side of town for us.
We've got a Lidl a couple of miles away though, might try theirs.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:06, Reply)
Not tried any of their's.
How are the norks, by the way?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:09, Reply)
Massive!
Still the number one weapon of choice in getting catfaceceilidhbaby to go to sleep.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:10, Reply)
Ha ha ha.
Have you thought about getting a plaster cast taken of them so that when they eventually do shrink you have something to remind you of them?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:12, Reply)
I like this idea.
Or I could make replicas out of fabric and stuffing and use them as cushions.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:15, Reply)
It would be an interesting talking point, to be sure!`

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:19, Reply)
Plaster cast?
Surely you mean a bust.

I have completed my school experience folder, filled in all online requirements and have
planned a belter of a lesson for tomorrow and my tutor observation. I am now going to have a huge congratulatory joint and listen to talksport for 30 mins.

Arsenal let you down again this weekend Bob.
Does anyone actually want to win the Prem this season?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:38, Reply)
We do
but I think we've left it a little late.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 22:11, Reply)
A good result in the football, and that's about it for me.
Oof, I've not had lamb in ages!
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:18, Reply)
Fantastic bit of skill for the second goal AA
A great result for your lot.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:39, Reply)
The fuckup leading to the second goal was astonishing
The skill for the first one was incredible.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:41, Reply)
Very little. Woke up at an inappropriate time, AGAIN.
Went to the laundrette so have clean sheets. Should I choose to put them on just now. I can't be arsed.

I've done no work. And my "fringe" is annoying me.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:21, Reply)
Woe!
What time is an inappropriate time?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:39, Reply)
Considering I woke up at 6.30 on Saturday
and by 11pm last night I was too tired to keep my eyes open, 8 is no fun. Got about 7 hours of sleep but it wasn't good or refreshing.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:41, Reply)
Speaking of fringes
I was toying with the idea of a straightcut one. Then a friend turned up to show me her new hair and lo and behold she had exactly that cut, which rules it out for the time being
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 19:49, Reply)
Stupidly busy first shift at work
Fucking christening party in. Had to stay here all day to keep an eye on the people working too. However, I have managed to tell Philip Davies MP he's a cunt, and encourage lots more people to as well, and to have a few free pints with the bezzie, so it's not all bad.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:28, Reply)
Did you get to bar anyone today?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:40, Reply)
why is he a cunt?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 18:50, Reply)
Google is your friend.
So, you can out politics me, yet you don't know why Philip Davies MP is a cunt, eh?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 19:06, Reply)
I can definitely out politics you.

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 19:18, Reply)
*sigh*

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 19:20, Reply)
try me.
And not with trivia like the names of MPs, hit me with policy and theory.

I'm not just a pretty face you know.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 19:32, Reply)
Pretty face?

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 19:42, Reply)
neatly chiselled, finely groomed drop dead handsome face.
I am a graduate of the HBMS.

you two have so much in common
Apart from the Tory thing.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:10, Reply)
I don't think we have that much in common.
It's probably for the best. I'd hate anyone who was anything like me.
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:20, Reply)
I'd feel sorry for you
if you were like me
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:23, Reply)

(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:30, Reply)
I meant for me.
How is my internet fiancee anyway?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:32, Reply)
Awful
I worked a 12 hour split shift yesterday, until 02.30. Got woken up at 9 today, started work at 12, crazy busy shift until 15.30. Supposed to have a break between then and now, but had to stay at work to keep an eye on/help out the other staff. Just about to start another 5 hour shift in 15 minutes.

Nothing at all
bought a couple of books on ebay, but missed the one really good bargain
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 19:54, Reply)
What was that?
And what did you buy?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:03, Reply)
The one I missed
was a copy of Stalky and Co which I am almost certain was a first edition which went for about two pounds.

I bought a couple of old books, nothing immensely exciting
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:07, Reply)
Still probably more exciting than my day
Any new politics crushes?
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:10, Reply)
I've been ill all day
and it's Sunday so nowhere to go and buy food and liquids.

Sadly no. I still reckon I might ruin Daniel Poulter a bit. Then I realised I don't like pet pigs
(, Sun 6 Mar 2011, 20:11, Reply)
I'm still hung up on Dan Jarvis this week
Damn him having children and a dead wife.

They're alright as long as you can give them back

Or, as has happened to me this evening, they piss on you and then run away giggling.
