What gig did you never go to and you still regret?
alt: If you could have been at any musical event in history what would it have been and why?
altalt: If you was MOD for the week how would you effect b3ta (all MOD powers to be revoked after one week and harm undone)?
Altaltalt: Can someone put a vote thingy here so we can all let Cavy realise she is lovelyping

He was at the peak of his powers.
Alt- when Fabio & Grooverider first played Bug in the Bassbin at plus 8.
Alt alt- power to unmask sockpuppets. If they aren't for comedy purposes then there's no need to hide behind one.
Altaltalt- GTF.

Little tangle was a very small baby and going out to gigs was most definitely not an option.
Graham died not long after that.

otherwise we'll never get anyone new and we'll all just sit her bitching at the same people forever. I need to be more of a bitch
( , Thu 5 Jul 2012, 19:17, Reply)

But there aren't many girls left to pander to now.
Still, that appears to be working in Cavy's favour.

A women looking after her mother, both arabic women, the mum in a hijab, the daughter in just a headscarf. she said I was the first person to make her mother laugh in weeks. High lights of my wit include
- The mum couldn't believe I wasn't an arab man so I said "I'm english/jewish, my mum is english/jewish, my dad is english/jewish... the milkman though? Maybe he was turkish"
- "It really doesn't matter, we're all following one of the sons of abriham. We'll bring the chicken soup, you bring the baklava and hulva and we'll let the rest wash the dishes after".
- She kept on saying I was so young and then blushing, a few times....so I said half your age plus seven, is that under 28?
I really impressed her when her mum understood some of my turkish when I was showing off, and then the mum said something that was replied with what was ovbously "MUM ! STOP THAT ! " So I replied with one of the two only arabic phrases I know, "Hoysh gah heluyah kolheeda", which I think roughly translates to "Oh how beautiful is freedom".
There was lots of talking, we were talking for a few hours, but I got her number !

You know, right before you jump, some people have the "I know everything would be fine, there is still a bit of danger, but I'll jump anyway". That's normal people. They then jump and have a good time. Or their parachoots fail and they die.
Then there are people like me, my final thought before I jump out a plane would be "Ok, so what if I die? It's no big deal, mum will be upset, so will a few mates.". When I've finally given up and don't care anymore, I suddenly find myself going for it, 'cus I don't care what happens.
Eaither way is good.

- A ladybug landed on my nose and I brushed it off as I thought it was a bug, it landed on my belly and I saw it was a lady bug, so I brushed it onto my hand, said 'hello', then crossed the road to put it in a bush.
- A white feather fell right next to me when I was walking down the road.
- I got my favorite canuuluation guy in the whole hospital, considering there are about 20 of them, thats pretty lucky.
- I got talking to a nice girl and got her number and she got mine.
- I've got bacon, frank, chips, beens and a fried egg for dinner.

That would have been good, right enough. I loved all that krautrock stuff then. Neu, was it? Can't remember, it was a long, long time ago as Monty's favourite male artist would say.

I was allowed in on the guest list for yonks after for any band playing I wanted to see. I turned down the chance to see Nirvana's first ever UK gig because "I'd never heard of them".

Whilst I'm not the world's biggest fan, it would have been nice to be able to say "I was there".

I once turned down a drink with Sonja Kristina from Curved Air. To be fair, it was the whole band, roadies and associated hangers on, but it was still Sonja.

I wasn't there; I stayed at my then girlfriend's.

I have sunnies on my head but it's not sunny, what a prick eh?
I'll plump for Woodstock, purely for historical significance.
I can't remember the other questions soz

I really, really wish I'd gone now.
alt: the first Glastonbury. mr b3th was there (1970) and he says it was awesome.
Cavy is lovelyping. No question needed.

First Gastonbury had the pyramid n' stuff. Real hippy stuff, man. I was young but remember wishing I could have gone. No money, far too young.
I think Hendrix played at the IoW festival the same year and died in September of the same year.

I like how some bands/shows I've been to work well to make people a little jealous. A good reason to keep seeing new bands
