MONEY TALKS
This Year has seen the taxman generally riding me.
I flirted with redundancy last year for a few months which coincided with a holiday. I claimed Housing Benefit for a bit and luckily came back from Ibiza to employment.
This year has seen a whopping tax bill to be paid by March, a letter saying I owe THEM HB money and now a letter asking for 2 previous employment P45's. Both companies are now no longer in action.

What has been riding your ass thus far?

Alt. Most overrated thing right now?
Im gonna say Rihanna.

tl;dr - Well stop being so lazy. What else have you got to do? Eh?

So you claimed housing benefit when you didn't need it?
and they want the money back? It's just like nazi Germany eh.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 13:19, Reply)
nah I needed it.
I was out of work for a few months. Would have got a bit blah blah
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 13:30, Reply)
If you got a redundancy payment you're not entitled to it immediatly.

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 13:34, Reply)
That's a point
I never got one.

Office I worked for was investigated and shut down.
Not sure I worked there long enough for redundancy pay

Work in general
Been fucking mayhem since we got back after Christmas, I've taken a tomorrow afternoon and Monday off, I think I'm going to regret it.

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 13:36, Reply)
It's not about where you're from, where you're going or how you get there. It's about how you come.

I don't understand the questions, sorry.

That I had a tax rebate this month.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 13:58, Reply)
sorry i had to do some work
st albans half. it looks like quite a hilly one, unfortunately, but the timing gives me 2 weeks to finish my water detox diet, then 6 weeks to pick up the running where i left off before christmas, then the 12 week training plan. urgh.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:01, Reply)
because starving your body to fuck before starting a training regieme for something quite hard that you've never done before is entirely sensible.

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:08, Reply)
ah it's only 2 weeks and then 6 weeks of slow jogging and healthy eating
i'll be fine!
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:09, Reply)
course it will.
You know starvation diets destroy muscle, right? the stuff you're going to need for running?
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:10, Reply)
you can't do that much in 2 weeks, surely?
and you can build it back up, it's not permanently gone.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:13, Reply)
In a year I haven't come close to rebuilding any significant strength in the arm I broke
and that was only about 6 weeks of "nothing"

So, oh god yes you can. And no, it's not permanently gone, but the timescales you are operating on you won't get it properly back.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:15, Reply)
hmmm
i will think about it.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:15, Reply)
at least eat some protein. Give you body a chance.

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:16, Reply)
don't worry, i am eating the recommended amount of protein and vitamins along with the water
it's just a quick new year kickstart, nothing else.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:20, Reply)
what about that popular culture eh?

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 13:55, Reply)
I'm dead against it.

(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:00, Reply)
Well I got told I had underpaid 800 tax and that they would be taking it back off me over two years
and then they gave me a 1000 tax rebate after 12 months. so how does that work? Idiots. Im still paying off the £800
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:02, Reply)
i have the heating in my office on max and i am still shivering cold
alt: dryathon
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:03, Reply)
It's because your body is fucked with "water detox"
generally if you can't regulate your own temperature, that's "bad for you"
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:10, Reply)
weeeell you could be right
but i think it's much more likely that the cheapskates haven't upped the maximum temperature despite the fact it's now freezing outside
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:12, Reply)
I think it's pretty likely that you body is not prepared to waste energy on petty things like temperature regulation
as it's putting itself into shutdown mode, myself.
(, Thu 10 Jan 2013, 14:13, Reply)
sounds like offtopic these days
