Hello sailor!
What are you looking forward to this year so far? I've got a The Damned gig, lots of theme park trips and staying in my thirties for another year. You?

Alt: Has anyone ever had 'grits' ? or what else can you get in Murica that you (probably sensibly) can't get over here?

Alt2: Where's Perry?
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:13, 162 replies, latest was 10 years ago)
Alt: Shot in the head by a two year old.

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:17, Reply)
Lol

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:19, Reply)
Grits are about as appetising as they sound. And their "gravy" is like awful school dinner mince.
And their pancakes are too thick and their bacon is too thin.

The fucking savages.
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:18, Reply)
I agree about the pancakes.
But I think they are on the right track with the bacon: thin and crispy, like PANCAKES and PIZZAS.
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:21, Reply)
it's just a layer of brown salt

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:28, Reply)
I like my bacon introduced briefly to some heat before hitting the plate
Bacon you could use as a spirit level can fuck right off
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:33, Reply)
Nah, I dunno about that. All floppy and chewy. Might as well have some gammon or ham.
I think the concept of 'bacon' has to have at some crisp to it. The high temperatures change the flavours.
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:37, Reply)
and they have what look like scones with a fry up

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:40, Reply)
I'm looking forward to being a best man for the first time.
Alt. No it sounds shit. Murica is shit. They eat pig intestines. THey have hushpuppies too, I have no idea what they are but I bet they're shit.

Alt2 Gazzas dead
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:19, Reply)
Speaking of Gazza
I was in a french restaurant the other day and had to send the cutlery back as it was dirty. The waiter assured me it was just a bit of frog on the tine!!!!!!!!!!1111!!!!

I think the popular page must be broken. I can't find this on there anywhere!

Sister in laws wedding, heading to the In-laws for Christmas and the inevitable liver failure that the two will cause between them.
The wedding cuts right into my festival work, but I'm not missing any that I actually enjoy. Asides from that, minimuns first day at school, a couple of theme park trips over the summer and getting the fucking garden sorted.

Alt: Nope.

Also ... where are you seeing The Damned?
Cos I've no idea what you look like and no inclination to meet but we could be in the same space for a short period of time.

Hello 'Bill Clay'
I am looking forward to going to Supersonic Festival later this year, a couple of holidays and just general doing of stuff I like doing.
I too shall remain in my thirties throughout this year.

Alt: The first mate threw all of mine away during a sailing expedition around the Caribbean.
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:23, Reply)
where are you going on your holidays?
asking for a friend
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:26, Reply)
Folkestone.

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:27, Reply)
What does Folkestone mean?

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:28, Reply)
One suggestion is that it refers to Folca's stone, another suggestion is that it came from an Old English personal name, with the addition of stone, possibly meaning, in this context, "meeting place".

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:30, Reply)
I prefer the stone story.

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:33, Reply)
cool you can stay in my house if you like

Have you got anything special planned for the big FORE-OH next year?
I couldn't give a fuck. I took my DOB off'f facebook a few years back and I'm far happier not getting any birthday wishes people I can't remember going to school with and my wifes relatives who I've never met.
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:38, Reply)
I've yet to plan the big THREE NINE this year, plenty of time for that later.
I'm too needy to remove my birthday from facebook, but I have removed the boring people I can't remember going to school with.
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:41, Reply)
I'm going to add you on my facebook

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:43, Reply)
I'm going to accept your 'friend request' if you do

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:44, Reply)
not really, you might post a load of old shit that annoys me and then I might not like you anymore and that would be a shame

Oh, fair doos. Like polenta? I tried to make that last month, it was like eating solid water. Proper waste of time and money.

I'm a bit meh about Ant Man. There's a new Ben Wheatley (Kill List, Field in England) film coming out called High Rise that I'm looking forward to.
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:48, Reply)
I'm not super looking forward to it, just normal looking forward to it.
Is there any trailers for high Rise
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 15:52, Reply)
I haven't seen a trailer yet it just sounds like it'll be interesting
That Tom Hiddleston from the comic book movies is in it
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 16:25, Reply)
I donno 'nuff 'bout that, have to go by trailers for me.

(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 16:26, Reply)
The new Mad Max film has an excellent trailer
Doesn't mean the film will be any good though. The trailer for Cliffhanger was way better than the film turned out to be. Still good, just not as good as the trailer.
(, Mon 2 Mar 2015, 16:28, Reply)
Yah', I know what you mean, it's just that I don't know many actors/writers/comic-book-people.... so can only go by the trailer.
I'm sure it's all very good and all that, it's just that I don't know jack.
