How was the Chinese last night Stunned?
Favourite takeaway!

And are you a creature of ordering habit or do you vary what you get?

Indian probably
It's hard to find a good one over here though.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:39, Reply)
Or over there!

Have you been possessed by The Two Ronnies?

Our local Indian is lovely, the Chinese is adequate, and the chippy has improved since the change in ownership.
Rarely bother with pizza, anymore.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:41, Reply)
The only time I like a pizza is when I'm really hungover because I can take it to bed with me and eat it through the night when I wake up.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:43, Reply)
Ah the convenience of food that comes packaged in a 'Northern laptop'

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:47, Reply)
Takeaway pizza is always shit and disappointing and makes you feel slightly dirty afterwards

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:47, Reply)
Although I imagine these are not unusual feelings for you

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:48, Reply)
Yeah, those frozen Dr. Oetker jobs are so much better!

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:00, Reply)
MOLTO GUSTO!!

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:01, Reply)
South Indian
None of this Bangladeshi shite masquerading as Indian.

I like something different every time, which means most places disappoint me.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:42, Reply)
South Indian is great, as is Nepalese.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:43, Reply)
^ Three flavoured ice-cream curry lover

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:45, Reply)
I cooked something Nepalese, once.
Don't remember what it was, but it gave me the shits.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:45, Reply)
You can have most cuisines delivered where we are
We had Lebanese delivered to the hospital at 2am when baby meatswipe was born. 1 day olds don't make the best plates, but you do what you have to do
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:45, Reply)
Should have just had the baby as a starter then.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:46, Reply)
Vegetarian innit
Meaty had to be restrained though
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:50, Reply)
Did you order Lebanese food 'cos you'd just added to the Human League?

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:52, Reply)
I see what you did there

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:54, Reply)
Nice work Swipey.
Somehow you managed to shoe-horn yet another reference to your crotchfruit into a question about takeaways. Outstanding.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:54, Reply)
Remember when she used to deride people for doing *exactly* this.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:56, Reply)
There is nothing else in my life now
It's your fault. Why didn't you warn me?
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:19, Reply)
It's our fault that Meaters stuck his wotsit in your foof?
Seems implausible.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:24, Reply)
I'd have thought my experiences as a parent were warning enough

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:35, Reply)
This is excellent!

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:54, Reply)
I cooked Ghormeh Sabzi once. It tasted like lime an mulch.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:01, Reply)
Is that the lime and kidney bean one?

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:18, Reply)
Think so. It has dried limes in it yeah.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:22, Reply)
There is a Persian near me that does it
Fucking lush, esp with a nice square of tadig.

Meaty always has a massive plate of grilled lamb and chicken, like that sort of shit is edible
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:25, Reply)
MEATIE FOREVER SWIPEY NEVER!

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:35, Reply)
:(

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:44, Reply)
In his defence,
there's a hell of a lot to be said for a massive plate of grilled lamb and chicken.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 12:11, Reply)
Here in God's own city we are well-blessed with good take away restaurants
Favourite Chinese has an English Chinese menu and a Chinese Chinese menu. They have a small eating area which is always full of Chinese students - I think that's a good endorsement.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 10:57, Reply)
Wait, which city is that?

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:07, Reply)
Coventry
I've moved back
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:10, Reply)
It always draws people back
Where are all these good takeaway restaurants then?
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:15, Reply)
The Chinese is at the bottom of Gosford St
I can recommend a few good Indian ones on the Foleshill rd - the cafe opposite what used to be the Wolfe has great Keema Mutter.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:27, Reply)
The Panjab Sweet Centre?
There's nowhere good on Foleshill Rd any more, none of them seem to prepare dishes fresh.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:29, Reply)
I quite like the Panjab
Try Sweet memories a bit further down towards the blue ribbon island as well.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:35, Reply)
To be fair I haven't been down there for a while
There used to be a fairly decent Sri Lankan place, but it got closed down by the Health Inspectors.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:38, Reply)
Sweet memories is an Indian cake and snacks place but they do a couple of curries
Basic but very 'home - style' authentic. Excellent samosas too
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:43, Reply)
Chinese food is not nice
Bottom of the takeaway list. Every time.

Mexican, Middle Eastern, pizza, salads, fish'n'chips, burgers, pasta, sushi, polish, German, African - it all comes above chinese
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:18, Reply)
FW strikes again

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:39, Reply)
It tasted like Chinese from the burbs.
Although the Chinese curry and the duck with beanshoots were pretty good.

If the Bangladeshi is only "OK" I am going to have to reconsider this country living malarkey. That said, I work a 10 minute walk from some of the best Indian/Pakistani/Bangladeshi/Nepalese/Sri Lankan in the country.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:00, Reply)
asking all the hard hitting questions.
Depends on my mood. I do like a Chinese mind.

I try different things, also depending on my mood. Hard to find a decent Indian/Chinese on Justeat.

I hate the thick sauces loads of chinese places do. All filler, no killer

Food chat never fails to get the board moving

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:31, Reply)
I like the crispy shredded beef. You don't really get sauce with it.
Another 'custom' job I used to go for was special fried rice, but with curry sauce instead of bbq.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:34, Reply)
I'd probably be content with a bucket full of prawn toast tbf.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:35, Reply)
Prawn toast is the badger's nadgers.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:37, Reply)

There was one round here that battered it. Scotland lol.
(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:38, Reply)
Think I'm gonna go to the sandwich shop that does donner meat at lunch.

(, Thu 21 Jan 2016, 11:46, Reply)
Pizza
We get the same pizza from the same place most weeks. Started with watching Game of Thrones so we had Pizza Dinklage Night.

We do branch out occasionally, there's a couple of nice Indian places.
