As most of you probably already know I'm currently "between employment opportunities" at the moment and as such have quite a bit of spare time and not much in the way of spending money. However what I do have is a nice fast Internet connection so have been watching an awful lot of downloaded TV however I'm starting to run out of ideas of what to watch next so what would you recommend?
In the last few weeks I've watched/rewatched The Wire, The Shield, The Sons of Anarchy, Space: Above and Beyond The West Wing & Journeyman. I have Without A Trace and The Job waiting in the queue but at the rate I'm going those wont last me long so any suggestions from my lovely b3tans?
Or for the alternative question when did you last stay up all night? *Finally goes to bed*

It's a comedy about American college fraternities and sororities. I quite like it plus it's on its third season so should keep you occupied.

but doubt it'd stand up to a rewatching.

Sorry, there is something about Leonard Rossiter that makes me want to stab him in the face repeatedly.

Why didn't I use my usual rule of having to wait 48 hours before I buy anything =(((
You should watch the whole of House, you should finish watching it in time for the new season to start.

and am eagerly awaiting it's return on the 22nd!

The last few seasons of Law'n'Order: Special Vicitim's Unit are very good.

I keep getting stuck at 2x01 and having heard that the rest of season 2 sucks as well I'm finding it hard to make the effort to get through it and onto the much improved (or so I'm told) season 3.

I found the beginning of season 2 to be shit, so didn't carry on

I wasn't the biggest fan of the stuck-in-the-past thing, but it's worth sticking out.

'70s show, absolutely brilliant.
And last night/this morning. I spend far too much time on second life.
( , Wed 9 Sep 2009, 8:21, Reply)

It's really good. Set in the world of 60s ad men, very authentic.
( , Wed 9 Sep 2009, 8:24, Reply)

back when it first started but wasn't really hooked by it, I might have to give it another go though.

Defending the Earth against threats extra-, infra- and juxta-terrestrial.

Yes! I'm going to re-watch this! I really enjoyed it when it was originally airing and not just because I would do bad bad naughty things to Natalie Morales ;-)

A hilarious 80s sitcom about 2 brothers, one's a policeman, the other a rasta. And when you've found it please gaz me. I've been after it for 20 years.

LOOK AT ME, I WAS FAMOUS AND KNOW FAMOUS PEOPLE. LOOK AT HOW NORMAL WE ARE BY GETTING IN REDICULOUS SITUATIONS AND COMIC MISUNDERSTANDINGS.
( , Wed 9 Sep 2009, 8:58, Reply)

But I think it is hilarious. I don't think the celebrity thing is palyed up that much at all. In fact the majority of episodes is Larry going around being a complete bell-end.

Weeds is also very good.
I mostly watch comedy stuff, and have found Reaper and How I met your mother to be pretty amusing.
( , Wed 9 Sep 2009, 9:06, Reply)

and it's been a while since I watched Firefly so I might have to redo that again soon.

Legend of the Seeker is a new thing based on the Sword of Truth books by Terry Goodkind.
It's really dire, but strangely engaging. I put it down to the abundance of cleavage displayed at all times by one of the main characters.

Peep Show
Penn and Teller's Bullshit
Look Around You
Screenwipe
The Care Bears
Chuck
Someone recommended Dirty Sexy Money to me - not watched it yet.
Also, I've often told myself if I had loads of spare time, I'd download and review each film in the huge IMDB Top 250 torrent.

Anything with Adam Baldwin in it is good...
( , Wed 9 Sep 2009, 12:20, Reply)

Grey's Anatomy if you're feeling a bit girly.
Weeds
Watch Life on Mars again.
Bionic Woman - this was really good (the new one) shame it died as a result of the Writers' Strike.

Also as I cant see it here the always awesome Spaced.

Seasons 1 & 2.
I really enjoyed it - set in 30s depression, but with a dark supernatural edge to it.
( , Wed 9 Sep 2009, 10:07, Reply)

and all three seasons of Deadwood. (Fair warning, though- by the end of the first season "cocksucker" will be in your daily vocabulary.)
( , Wed 9 Sep 2009, 10:20, Reply)

so thats a plus...
Also watch Bubba Ho Tep

Veronica Mars (up to half-way through the third season before the network started sticking their oar in)
Big Bang Theory
How I met your mother
Battlestar Galactica (thought I suspect you've already done this)
Smallville (after the season one freak-of-the-week, and up to about season 6)
Warehouse 13 (newish series in the US, not seen it yet, but sounds good)
( , Wed 9 Sep 2009, 11:52, Reply)

Glee - watched the pilot and it's fun in a cheesy way (series starts this week)
Castle - Nathan Fillion from Firefly in a "Murder he wrote" kinda thing, but quite fun.
Dollhouse - stick with it til at least episode 6 and make sure you see the unaired episode - Epitath 1
30 Rock - refreshingly surreal for a US show in places
...and there's a remake of V showing from November, which might be interesting.

Weeds and Dexter are the most full of win EVAR.
Although Weeds is a bit misleading in that it will probably make you think it's that easy to grow and sell weed without getting sent to prison forever. But Mary Louise Parker is hot as fuck, even from a girl's point of view.

there have been far too many good suggestions here to reply to you all but I have some new stuff to add to the list and some reminders of old stuff to see again.
