Cancer joy has got me thinking and only so many self-depreciating posts can be funny before it gets dull.
So from now on I shall celebrate all that is good about me and my life.

What's the best thing about your life?

Vipros can start : )

Edit - I can run up a hill. How amazing is that.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 12:38, 90 replies, latest was 16 years ago)
My missus.

Think where man's glory most begins and ends
And say my glory was I had such friends.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 12:50, Reply)
but where to start.....

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 12:58, Reply)
Save us all some time and start at the end

Ok
I don't feel very ill anymore

Hooray!

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:17, Reply)
still coughing and sneezing though
this seems to be an illness I've cooked up all on my own. It's gonna fuck up my colleagues when they get it. My Mrs already feels like she's dying from it.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:55, Reply)
The best thing about my life
is that I enjoy it. I have a nice house in a nice area, sexy missus and an extremely cute (if I do say so myself) little boy.

On top of that I have a job that pays ok (could be better but pays the mortgage etc), good friends close by, and little debt.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:09, Reply)
True!
We all love you!
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:21, Reply)
And
I understand you have a shed, which makes you a god amongst men.

I honestly can't think of anything to reply to this post at the moment.

You got tickets for Glastonbury
That's a good thing. You could post that?
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:21, Reply)
I'm not even sure if I can go now.

Yes, it can/will suck

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:26, Reply)

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:26, Reply)
I have to move out in January,
I probably wont be able to afford it.

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:39, Reply)
.
I have great friends, cracking workmates (although the inevitable knobs as wekk), a house with my best mate, and I'm going to become an uncle for the 3rd time in May.

Now all I need is a new job (which I've got an initial phone interview for tomorrow!)

I do have lots of OK things which when added up can count as one good thing.

I'm expecting my first sproglet
Which is nice for us, even though we understand that others may not give a flying fuck. Oh, and my husband who is my entire world. Soppy.

Congrats!

That I'm good at spelling
I can spell 'self-deprecating' for example...

I'm only teasing x
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:52, Reply)
You're very good at teasing also.

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:53, Reply)
I don't have much money,
there's no Mrs Thunderwolf, and my job could best be described as "average", but my life is as stress-free as possible, I have some great friends, and the sea's 15 feet from my front door, with a beach 3 minutes walk away. Not much use in this weather, but still...
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:54, Reply)
I would love to live that close to the sea
which bit of sea is it?
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:55, Reply)
Me too.
*is jealous*
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:57, Reply)
Tis a little bit of Cornish sea
almost as far south-west as you can get.
It does have its occasional downsides. I sometimes open my front door to a lake instead of a road, and seagulls think 5am is a good time for screeching practice, but other than that...
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:59, Reply)
that's the dream
I had a week in Sennen at the beginning of September. House we were staying in was as yours, 15ft from the sea and a couple of minutes from the beach.

Fortunately free of seagulls!
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:02, Reply)
I'd put up with more than that to live there.

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:03, Reply)
It is utterly fantastic
and if it weren't for the constant nagging thought that I should have a Career rather than a job I'd never want to leave.
There are far too many people here that take it all for granted and constantly whinge about everything. Nobs.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:27, Reply)
that's the trouble
I'd love to move to the Cornish coast, but I'd have to go and work in my company's Bodmin office, which I don't fancy. plus all my friends live in Exeter...

when I'm old and they are all dead I'll do it. So I can surf myself to death
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:56, Reply)
EVERYTHING
My life is fucking awesome! :D

I have super hubby, family, friends its all goooooooda!

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 13:59, Reply)
Hehe only you would
get the cheese reference. You know you can buy t-shirts with 'It's all Gouda' written one them... I want one!! Hehe

my bro has a tshirt that says Applecrumble & Fish on it, which I quite like
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:03, Reply)
I have seen this tee of which you speak
It is wicked!! :D

I like this website...

www.snorgtees.com/

I've ordered from it before and it doesn't cost that much to have tees imported from the US. Ba-Zing.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:06, Reply)
you had me at bacon
now that's a t-shirt slogan!
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:07, Reply)
Exhunctly
I could spend a lot of monies on that website!! :D
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:09, Reply)

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:10, Reply)
Apologies

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:11, Reply)
that's ok
all my t-shirts are too big now anyway so I need to get more. Damn weight loss!
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:14, Reply)
Aww that is annoying if you have to get new stuff...
...but at least its not weight-gain! :D
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:27, Reply)
this is true
I have a host of nice nearly new clothes that I can't wear now though. It's weird, I've lost a fair amount, but not that much and yet it seems that things I was happily wearing a year ago are now much too long as well as wide and that the arms are way too long....
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:30, Reply)
That's quite strange that the arms are longer??
I haven’t changed size that much since I was about 18 so I have to cull my wardrobe every now and then or it gets too big. My feet seem to have shrunk from a 5 to a 4 though, which is odd!?
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:41, Reply)
I first noticed it when I went to try on my cream suit in advance of a wedding earlier this year
the jacket was too big in every direction.

Did mean I got to buy my awesome grey one, so I wasn't too bothered, but still, it is weird.

Shrinking feet is pretty odd too. has someone been binding them while you are asleep?
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:46, Reply)
Eeep
I hope not, that would be rather scary!! :S
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:05, Reply)
indeed it would
I'd suspect those closest to you
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:08, Reply)
My feet have got smaller since losing weight.
But thinner rather than shorter. I can sometimes fit into a smaller size shoe depending on the style.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:13, Reply)
That's rather strange
I wouldn't have thought you could lose weight on your feet of all things!?!
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:38, Reply)
I'm liked and appreciated here.
At least, I think so. My friend took me aside a few nights ago and told me, several times. I'm going to try and be more confident.

I had an odd experience on 4chan last night. To say the least, I LOVE long fingers now.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:24, Reply)
I think apprecitation is a very hard thing to get your head around.
I had a similar realisation once. It's something I'm trying to work on.
I'm sure you like and appreciate your friends but it's hard to tell them as much. I'm sure they all feel pretty much the same about you as you do about them.
I'm not preaching or anything. Just saying.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:32, Reply)
It's odd
I don't think I'm one to make friends easily. But I've settled in well, I have friends on my course and in my building (mainly through me smoking like a chimney) but I'm yet to find "luuurve". Ah well. Time will tell :)
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:34, Reply)
how long of you been there?
a month? don't think you need to to be too concerned that you haven't found love.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:39, Reply)
Not love, "luuurve".
I thought uni was supposed to be full of casual sex. :(
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:11, Reply)
ha
not in my experience. All the ones worth shagging get snapped up into long term relationships immediately.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:18, Reply)
I had a fair old go, if I remember rightly
I was pursued (almost scarily) by an absolutely STUNNING Indian girl but was a bit overwhelmed by it and bottled it. One of my life's biggest mistakes I think...
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 17:14, Reply)
I'm always suspicious of people who make friends easily.
They always seem deperate to please.
I don't actually remember when I met any of my best friends. They started out as people in the background, then became acquaintances, then, at some point, became friends.
Which sounds a bit weird, now I come to think about it.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:41, Reply)
I think you're ace too!
So your drunken friend was obviously speaking truth!
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:44, Reply)
Quite unexpectedly
I have a fiancé. Five months ago I was convinced that would never be something I wanted. But, as some of you know, Catface and I have been through a hell of a lot in a short space of time. If we can survive that and come out the other side closer than ever then marriage seems a perfectly normal and rational thing to do. Well, by our standards.

He'll make a good first husband. I can always trade him in for a younger model at some point.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 14:53, Reply)
Not without going on the register, you can't.

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:00, Reply)
I'll have him when you're done with him.
I like them trained up before I get them.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:03, Reply)

trained up broken of mind, body and spirit
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:09, Reply)
And I have my own gimp mask for him.

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:11, Reply)
So,
I'm to believe that he was lying to me when he said it was cowboy-themed?
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:09, Reply)
I haven't thought past the theme being "wedding"
(with a hint of geek).
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:20, Reply)
So,
Cowboy hat and boots then.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:30, Reply)
and nothing else!

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 18:41, Reply)
Congratulations on your impending union
Hope everything is good.
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:12, Reply)
Thank you!

I'm happy because I know you, BGB...

But I'm sad that we haven't seen each other for ages...

*sads*

I'm also happy that I'm able to spend a bit of time on B3ta again.

I miss you too Pooflake.

You've been missed loads : )
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:46, Reply)
Ahhh - really?...

*hugs*

*puts in crafty grope*

I've took a half-way through break from writing my book to piss about on here again. Hopefully soon I'll have something to post (as Pooflake anyway)

How've you been? What's all this about you being on the turn? Do I have to pop round there and make a GODDAMM WOMAN OUT OF YOU?

(I have some ironing that needs doing)

I've only started lurking a bit these past couple of weeks - have I missed much? who are all these people? Will they like me?
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 15:52, Reply)
Will they like you?
They better do or else there will be trouble.

Stay away from Pychochomp though because he's a miserable git.

(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 16:01, Reply)
And fantastic news about CHCB and catface!...

I suppose she won't be needing me to donate my sperm now...:(

Does that mean I have to stop practising?

*spluffs*
(, Wed 21 Oct 2009, 16:01, Reply)
I just got a text from a friend
who thanked me for being so supportive when she needed it. She signed off by telling me I'm awesome. That'll do for today.
