Although I have to admit to being one of the many poeple that hadn't heard of the comic until the film was made (not really into comics) but I really loved the styling of the film. Also the best thing that Bruce Willis has been in for years.

for a guy who supposedly 'can't act', he's pretty chuffing good.

He plays the gritty violent character very well. But anything else (Armageddon: take note!) it is a fairly stilton-esque experience.

'The Books Of Magic' are rather splendid.
Edit: and Elektra: Assassin (the Bill Sienkiewicz drawn one) is pretty neat as well.
Edit: and the Hellblazer sequence ain't at all bad, just dismiss the lousy movie they made with Keanu 'One Expression of Wonder' Reeves from your mind.

It's excellent! As long as you don't mind a bit of nudity and dismemberment and combinations of the two.

In my limited experience they are rather spiffing.
also the off-shoots
"Death: The high cost of living"
and
"Death: The time of your life"
All by Neil Gaiman.
Failing those, Preacher are nasty (but good) and Sam and Max (only one collection that I know of, "surfing the highway") are genuinely inspired.
